I'm Broken I wonder if we'll smile in our coffins while loved ones Mourn the day, the absence of our faces, living, laughing, Eyes awake. Is this too much for them to take? Too young for ones conclusion, the lifestyle won. Such values you taught your son. That's how. Look at me now. I'm broken. Inherit my life. One day we all will die, a cliched fact of life. Force fed To make us heed. Inbred to sponge our bleed. Every Warning, a leaking rubber, a poison apple for mingled Blood. I have been to the edge of the abyss and over And it is fearsome dark and scary down there The spiral down and the fear that your life is all over The feeling of falling, wondering if it'll hurt as much there Spiraling down, down, down, Crying for you know not what, Feeling alone, your life is gone, And then knowing for what The guilt of living, when your friends died, And you did not............ When from above two call out No, stay with us...... We will help you out And with golden ropes, And all their hopes Your fall is stopped, By their golden ropes Fashioned from their love You look up and see, Two wondrous people Shining and bright, Who pull you up into the light They sooth your hurts Say you will be all right We want you here.. Also in the light with us The Christians failed All their preaching to no avail To save a soul from their hells By their examples they fail And create their own hells By lies, untruth and tall tall tales, The lights of their souls Sputter and pale The Goddess reaches for souls, Not with threats and scolds But with love and warmth With threads of silver, And ropes of gold, To hold you in a love so warm You'll never be cold I have been to the abyss............. But, I no longer fear, The Goddess Holds me in her heart
