Plymouth City Private Installations

At the site of an old reclamation yard is this AC Ford AC848 lantern. It is mounted on an old fluted Stewart & Lloyd column, with a rare swan neck and ladder bar setup. It is the only survivor of a common column and bracket installation from across the city. This sort of bracket would have been fitted with a GEC Brookvale or similar. The column is not lit, and was presumably put in place as a sort of advert for the reclaim yard, who did sell cast columns. The site is waiting to be developed into housing, but it would be good to save the lantern and bracket when it is removed.
