Plymouth City Private Installations

Although the old M.O.D. Scott Hospital site has now been redeveloped with an N.H.S. centre and industrial units, a few of the old lighting columns remain in place. Now long disconnected, they stand seemingly missed when the site was cleared.

The first is a Thorn Beta 5 with a 35w SOX lamp. The bowl appears to be holding a fair bit of rusty water, and so the control gear is probably rusted out inside.

The next is an Philips 'Lampada' post-top lantern. Judging by the rather make-shift spigot bolts, this may have replaced a side-entry bracket with possibly another Thorn Beta 5. The lamp type is unknown.
