Plymouth City Mercury Lighting

An Eleco PT828 running an 80w MBF/U lamp. The control gear is actually Revo, and is dated to 1965. This could well be original to the lantern. The PT828 is a very rare sight today, and only 2 of the lanterns actually survive in the city. Of those 2, only this one runs a Mercury lamp. They were once very commonplace and seen on most inner-city streets. The column is a 5m Cohen steel. Unfortunately this example has a crack down the outer globe, although it would still be excellent to save the lantern when it is removed.
