Lipson- A GEC Z8896 125W MBF/U lantern fitted on a 5m Hockey Stick column. Switching is by a SELC 841 cell. There are now only a handful of these 125W lanterns left in the city, although once they were a common sight in most residential streets. Many were removed due to energy conservation measures and time switch removals. The installation dates from c1977.
Update- 26th March 2006: the lantern has just been replaced by an Urbis ZXU1.
