PLOUGH AND HARROW BARFLIES FOOTBALL CLUB
Simply the best !
THE PLOUGH AND HARROW BARFLIES HAVE BEEN DOING THE ROUNDS NOW SINCE THE 1989 / 1990 SEASON . They were formed though in 1988. In the first season they joined the Notts Combination football league division five ! Gaining promotion and just being edged out of the junior cup final that season .The 'Flies then went on to win every division upwards and the combination senior cup.The last season in the combination in 2004 /2005 saw them edged out of the league title by one goal ! This being in the Premier division, after a few years of struggles in the combinations top division. This sparked a resurgence of the side. The Barflies moved to the Notts Sunday morning league.Placed in Premier division 2 ,theY defied all the odds by reaching the final of the leagues Senior cup in the first attempt. They were beaten however (thanx Ref !) by the leagues top side at the time double treble winners and local rivals Scots Grey f c. Greys believe it or not , also came from the same back ground of the Combination Division 5 way back when although under a different name.
So onwards and upwards in at least premier division 1 or maybe premier premier. Will the Barflies finally reach the very top after 18 years? Watch this space i'm pretty sure they will shortly !!
