Tuesday (23/10) 7 year old Jasmitha was diagnosed with a brain tumor and told she needed an operation as soon as possible.
A group of mothers from her school (The International school of Paphos) in Cyprus are organizing this campaign to raise money for the operation and follow-up.
In one week people in Paphos, Cyprus and the whole world donated money and the total is over £40.000! Incredible! Unfortunately Jasmitha still needs our help because The Cyprus government will not pay for her treatment and she must remain in Israel for the rest of her treatment. The treatment will in total end up costing £60.000.
UPDATE: Jasmitha had her first operation tuesday afternoon (30/10) and the doctor managed to remove 90% of the tumour. A week later she had to have an four hour additional operation. Today, the 21/11 she had a brain stem cell transplant and will start radio therapy tomorrow.
