New Drummer - Zach Carlsonplayfield would like to announce their new drummer - Mr. Zach Carlson! After playing live with Zach on Distortion (19/05) playfield decided to induct Zach into the band. He accepted and is now the new official drummer for playfield. playfield are currently working on new songs for the Ep,Lunar & Solar --- 08/05/07
Drummer Andrew Foy leaves playfieldAndrew Foy has officialy left playfield due to musical differences. He recently posted a bulletin on MySpace stating that he had decided to leave the band. "...I have decided to go my own separate way musically! From what I have heard, a new drummer is being organised. Good luck to playfield, I would like to thank them for all the times we played in my basement and all the times we played shows over the past two and a half years." playfield wish Andrew the best with Romeo vs. Juliet and his own original compositions. Musically, playfield is still strong and Alex and Simon are still heavily composing whenever they can. In fact, an 11+ minute masterpiece called "Eclipse" is near completion. As for a replacement drummer, local musician Zach Carlson shall be temporarily filling in and will perform at the "Distortion" show on the 19th May. After that playfield will begin looking for a permanent replacement. 25/02/07
playfield in Hotshots Wildcard Roundplayfield would like to thank everyone that came down to the Hornsby Hotshots Compition (23/02). Congratulations to the band Griever to makeing it to the finals. Luckily playfield gained enough of your votes to make it to the Wildcard Round to have another shot of making it to the finals. Check infomation will be added as soon as we get it. --- 01/02/07
