Below, you will find instructions on using the chat program. ENJOY!
Begin by typing your name in the box as indicated. If the chatroom does not appear, please install Java on your computer.
- Once you have entered your name, click "Login" to enter the chatroom.
- The other people in the chatroom are listed here. NOTE: This version of WebsChat does not support private messaging. We hope to add this function in the future.
- To change the nickname you are chatting with, type your new name in the small box below as indicatedand press enter.
- To chat, type your message in this box, and press enter or, "send".
- After typing a message, press "send" or simply press the enter key to send your message to the chatroom.
- To disconnect from a chatroom, click the "disconnect" button that appears after you enter the chatroom, or just close your browser.
CAUTION: The one trouble with chatboxes is that they allow anyone to post anything under different identities. Anybody can post trash messages using someone else's name or whatever as their handle. Please be wary that you are indeed talking to the real person.
