Pinewood's Stables

Welcome to Pinewood's Stables!

Here at Pinewood's Stables, we concentrate on specializing in the finest horses for both showing and pleasure. While our horses only prove themselves in youth shows, we have hit the show ring by storm, and several of our horses have known names in the show business.

Located in Northern Texas in the Red River region, Pinewood's Stables started out as a small collection of hroses, none of them show quality, and has now swell to a herd of over 100 show and stud proven animals who are at the top of their game. We offer several different options for breeding purposes. You may breed your mares to our stallions, your stallions to our mares, pick one of our sires or dams and breed it to another breeder's sire or dam, or you may choose both parents out of our stock. We also have several breeding plans available, including our Basic plan and our Certified and Deluxe packets, all of which are free if used via e-mail (otherwise they recquire a LSASE).

We boast several breeds, form the common Quarter Horse to the refined cross breeds of arabians, including AraApaloosas and Pintabians; From the spirit of breeds like the Mustang and Nokota horse, to the elegance of the Fresian and the Saddlbred. We also offer "boarding" services. If you have a registered stallion or mare that you would like to offer for breeding, but do not have a site of your own, you are welcome to use our site to display your breeding stock.

Feel free to browse through our pages, and if you would like to breed with us, have any questions or comments, or would just like to talk horses, please e-mail us! We love meeting new people. You can contact us at txjesusfreak92@gmail.com .

At the time, we are in the process of still getting this site set up, so most of it is still under construction - come back at a later date and we should have it all updated!

UPDATE: 4/2/2008

Pinewood's Stables had a great run at Lone Star Live 2008 back in March, taking home Overal Novice Performance Champion (Pinewood's Sheza Phenomenon) and Overall Novice Performance Reserve Champion (Pinewood's Dancing Through Life). Over the past few months, several more horses have made their way to Pinewood's Stables, including some drafts, a few Thoroughbreds, two more Quarter Ponies, some Stock breeds, as well as our Prized show horse, Pinewood's Dancing Through Life, a rare Brandenburger stallion. Pictures, information, and pedigrees will be posted of these as soon as posible. Our photo show series has been running well for the past few months as well. Details about the December Championship show have been posted on the results page, and more details, including class lists, prizes, and current qualifiers, will be posted soon as well. We are also working on adding a Photo Gallery page to our website, so stay tuned for lots of new stuff!

UPDATE: 1/7/2008

Well, with the coming of a new year, it is time to re-test all of our horses. The 2008 SS Testing is currently underway on our herd of horses, so our Pick Your Poison Show Team may be updated soon. Testing should be done within the next year, and scores will be posted for all of our stock. If you would like more information about SS Testing, please contact us, and we would love to explain! Sample score cards will soon be posted on here, so that they can be accessible to everyone.

But, the big news: Pinewood's Stables 2008 Photo Show Championship is now officially open! Entries are being accepted until January 26th, and results will be posted shortly thereafter. UPDATE: 12/15/2007

Ok, so, I am considering creating a photo show, or perhaps a photo show series...I have a plan all worked out, in which there would be shows every month, and points would be awarded. There would be a championship show in December where prizes would be awarded (I will decide on what the prizes would be later). Let me know what everyone thinks and if any of you would be interested in a new string of photo shows. I would be the judge, along with a few others, and comments/critiques on photos will be free. Let me know what you all think by posting in the Guestbook. And while you are at it, take a look at our newest addition, Silmarillion, on the "Fantasy Breeds" page! Have a great holiday!

UPDATE: 12/12/2007

Well, this week I think I am really going to buckle down and try and finish all of my orphans pedigrees. If you have horses that could help us out in pedigree assignment, now would be a great time to give us a shout out! Hopefully by Christmas,, all of them should have parents...we'll see. Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and joyous holiday season!

UPDATE: 11/3/2007

Well, we have several new additions to the herd again! Recently, for my birthday, I recieved number three of my horses in the 2007 Treasure Hunt series, and I have the last one on hold, so, hopefully, a pegasus will be winging his way over to my stables soon! There are also quite a few new Stablemate additions! Pictures and descriptions will be posted soon!

UPDATE: 10/7/2007

Well, we're back from Red River Live 2007, and brought back five new additions to the stables, as well as a new face for our kennels, Stonebriar Kennels! While the breed isn't one Stonebriar was orignially going to raise, impulse buying (or, in this case, winning!) also kicks in! We also brought home a stack of ribbons, including Overall Novice Performance Champion, won by Pinewood's Sheza Phenomenon, and Overall Halter Reserve Champion with our home-bred Pinewood's King Arthur, the son of Pinewood's Chic Magnet! I will post the five new horse once I get pictures (in other words, after all the stress from the show dies down!).
