Pinellas Pasco Paranormal/ Hostile Haunts Specialists

   We are not ghost hunters.  We have been around long before the paranormal craze began, and do not participate in all the hype, and commercialism in this field. We take what we do very seriously, and our main concern is helping to bring resolution to those that are being haunted and having their lives turned upside down by it. We do not run to famous haunts to look for ghosts. We do not solicit places to do investigations. We take real hostile haunt cases, mostly in private residences, as we are a resolution team as much as a research team. Most of our cases are referred to us by word of mouth, or other teams and organizations.

   We do take cases at locations such as business buildings etc. even if they are not hostile haunts,  but we do not organize ghost walks or ghost hunts so please, do not send emails asking to participate in such activities with us, as we do not organize such things for the general public. We do not believe that a ghost hunt should be an avenue for entertainment or thrill seeking. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect, and that includes those ,who have passed and linger here in spirit.

   Our members come from all faiths and different cultural backgrounds. We have members who are Jewish, Christian, Greek Orthodox. We also have team members that speak spanish, so if you have a language barrier please let us know in advance and we will accomadate you. Se Habla espanol? Nosotros tambien. We also have team members that speak Greek.

We do organize paranormal meetings for local groups in Florida and we do lectures and presentations for groups and centers that wish to further education in the paranormal field. If anyone wishes to have us for such an event, you can contact us here.

ABOUT PPP:

  Laurie Champion, the director of Pinellas/Pasco Paranormal at the age of fifty,has been in this field for thirty years.  She got into the field because she herself was the victim of a hostile haunt for years as a child. She and her team have much experience with all kinds of hauntings and some cryto cases. We do not do UFO investigation. PPP is not an evidence gathering only organization. We actually specialize in helping to alleviate hostile activity in the home of our clients. We never charge a fee and are very confidential with our clients. Pinellas/Pasco gets most of it's cases from word of mouth as they are well established in the area and have an excellent track record with hostile haunt cases. We also take all local cases and do what we call a sitting to get evp communication with a spirit, when the people in the home want to try and find out who the ghost is, just for their peace of mind, even if the ghost is not hostile. We do however always give priority to hostile haunt cases. We give top priority to those cases where children are being targeted by a spirit. If you are local we can be there within 24 to 48 hours.

     We are here to help people who are experiencing distressing activity in their homes. We try to gather information to try and solve a haunting, not just take pictures and video. We are EVP  specialists, as we believe that EVP is the best form of communication we have to date. We also take cases occasionally in Hillsborough county. We refer out of state cases to colleagues who are able to help people in other areas of the United States and the UK. We have been featured on the cover of Creative Loafing Magazine and on Channel Ten Studio Show in 2007, but we usually keep a low profile as we do not have publicity as our goal in this field.

     We are affiliated with IPPO and are listed on many paranormal registration lists on the net. We will stay with most cases until they are solved or resolved, unless we are unable to help any further, then we will tell you your options from there. We can not promise to get rid of your ghost or entity but we will at least try. We currently have a staff of seven people and some part time additional field people. We usually never take more than four people to a case unless it is a large building or vast location. We do not show up in marked vehicles with ghost hunter logos . We wear normal clothing with no logos for both the privacy of the client and so as not to announce ourselves as the ghost police to any spirits that may be in someone's home. We have found that this method gets us more evidence captures and makes things less dramatic for all concerned.

       We have done ongoing research in the same location for many years and have tested many of our methods sucessfully there. We help other new teams learn how to get better evps and offer them our experience with what we have learned in the field thus far. We believe in Paranormal unity in the field and try to foster that unity by working with other teams in harmony. We do not claim to be experts as in this field there are NO experts.

      Laurie Champion/Director/Investigator                                     Alexis Doganci /Sensitive/ Investigator               

    Laurie and Alexis are a mother and daughter team, who both have sensitivities and work well together.  They are usually very successful at obtaining EVP captures when working together. Alexis may look 17 but she is in reality 31 years old and has been a spirit sensitive for all of her life. Laurie has studied extensively in the paranormal field and also studied metaphysics and parapsychology. Laurie belongs to a network of Paranormal Investigators and has many people to confer with on evidence analysis. Both of these gals do a lot of research for PPP's cases. Laurie and Alexis are the ones that initially go out to assess most cases. 

    Laurie got into this field because as a child she lived in a home with a very hostile ghost for ten years , and knows the trauma involved in this kind of situation. She wanted to help others who found themselves in this predicament. Originally from New Jersey, she has lived in Florida for 30 years now. She has worked in the past with IPPO, and worked a Florida Bigfoot case for six years with Mike Forte of IPPO. Laurie still works bigfoot cases in Pasco county Florida. Mike Forte was also the head of Florida MUFON for awhile. He stepped down to allow himself more time for paranormal investigation in the haunting and crypto categories. He still acts as a consultant to Pinellas/Pasco. Laurie has a book coming out soon on the paranormal, that will be announced down the line. She is also a scholar of the Kabbalah.

       Michael Kazouris/Bad Ghost Chaser/ Investigator    

 Michael Kazouris is our bad spirit chaser. He has a gift that is rare and comes in very handy to us in hostile haunt cases. He is very sucessful at using his energy to overcome that of a strong, malevolent spirit. He takes reports and does some investigation also, but he mainly comes in when a haunt is considered dangerous. He works as a Photo Technician and is helpful in photo analysis as a result.  He has had many paranormal experiences and is very desensitized to the attempts of a hostile spirit to intimidate him. He has dealt with and defeated a spirit attachment. He is our" Big gun, "so to speak.

Pete Fotinos/Tech. man/  Investigator     

    Peter Fotinos is our main trouble shooting computer tech. Man. He takes care of the computer work, the equipment and does technical trouble shooting for us at PPP. By day he works for a Major Automotive Corporation. He is also Laurie's husband. He is an all around nice guy, and the life of the party at paranormal  picnics and meet ups.

Nathaniel Hatzie/Invetsigator/cameraman

Nate Hatzie has worked with us off and on for years. He was with me when I had my second "Shadow man" encounter. He has studied in the medical field but is now a retail store manager.  Nate has been attacked by a ghost and injured, and still he has no qualms about paranormal investigation. We have an EVP from a spirit that is referring to Nate that says "That guy really haunts me!" This is no lie. Nate is also a good woodsman and is handy on crypto cases.

  Danielle is a recent addition to our team. She comes from Zephyrhills and has had in interest in the paranormal all her life. She has had many experiences which  have set her the path of looking for answers. She  is married, , has three children and has a busy life.  She wants to help both the haunted and the spirits who haunt so both can find peace. The first time we took her out we got an evp from a spirit on tape, calling her name. We are looking foward to working with her in the future.

 
Mike Becker, located in Wesley Chapel, Florida.  Originally from
Texas he moved to Florida in 1992.  He is an electronics/technical
computer type of person.   He enjoy sresearching historical data and used to provide narrated historical
tours  out of Tampa and Ibor city. He has a customer service background and
work with the general public almost daily.
While in Texas, for 6-months in the mid-80's, He lived on a ranch and
witnessed cattle mutilations (long story).  He vacated the place and never found
what caused this.    He remains skeptical, but very open-minded towards paranormal activity.  He wans to use  technical equipment and experience, to capture evidence of paranormal
activity alongside those, who use their own personal psychic abilities.

Mike is a natural for this field as he is very sensitive to his environment. He has gotten some great evps for us and we jokingly call him "Ghostbait" as spirits seem to be drawn to him especially child ghosts. Mike has had a night crusher experience and handled it calmly. The ghost that resides in my home, sailed a chair across the room in his presence and again he stayed calm and collected. He has been getting more exposure to cases lately and has proven to be an asset to our team. His calm demeanor and fearless attitude make him a perfect addition to our group. Michael is 16 years old and an accomplished hip hop dancer, and guitar player.

Sean Southard is  probably my most valued team member. He is a great investigator, and has good public relations skills. He is great with the cameras and with EVP recording. He  is my right hand man, with evidence analysis. He is now in the process of training to be a fireman. He works with children at the YMCA. He is 19 years old. He has worked in the past at a golfcourse where he encountered the ghost of a Golfer whose ashes were spread on the 18th hole. He was more curious than afraid and we did go out to investigate this ghost. He is now going to school to become a fireman.

 Ryan Petitt/ Investigator in training

 Ryan is a new investigator in training. He is 19 years old and has always had an interest in this field. He is a gifted young man who seems to be sensitive to spirit presence and can see auras. Ryan has done great on his first two runs and shows promise to become a good investigator. He is in college and also works at the movie theater. He is in top physical shape and does a lot of work with meditation and building his chi. He works a lot with meditation and trying to master his "Chi". Braxton Wolf Riddle/Ghosthunting Kid

Braxton is the son of a ghosthunter. He is Laurie's son and he is 11. He graduated from elementary school with many awards, the highest being the American Legion Award for courage, leadership good citizenship and of course academic excellence.  Braxton is a fearless and curious boy who has no qualms about running around the cemetery in the dark with his camera. Being exposed to the field so much, he already has a lot of knowledge about it, and we believe one day he will make a great paranormal investigator. He is a great counselor for other kids who have seen and are afraid of ghosts, as no one relates to a kid like another kid.  He is a good photographer already and in his spare time is the master of all video games.

How does a ghost become a demon?

You know there is so much hype right now about demons but in reality they are a rare find indeed. Angry, trouble making ghosts on the other hand are quite plentiful. Then there is another class of haunting that is not just a ghost and certainly not a demon. It is a haunting caused by paranormal hysteria. How does a ghost become a demon? This is how...

   One person experiences some low scale paranormal activity in the house, and is very afraid of such things. They mention it to their kids. Kids are very impressionable and very fearful normally of such things. So now everyone is thinking about "the ghost". Every shadow and sound becomes suspect, and pretty soon every one of the kids is experiencing activity, whether real or imagined and the adrenalin starts to pump as the fear kicks in with every sound and shadow.

   If there is a spirit present, now everyone is feeding the ghost, high octane fuel to produce more activity. As the one person who originally experienced the activity lies in bed, they are thinking about it and waiting for another event.They are now setting up a link on the airway to the ghost. The ghost if it is a predatory oppurtunist picks up on that link and that energy and comes out to play.When this happens the fear kicks in again and the high octane gas is fed to the ghost again. Now the ghost has even more energy to burn to create even more impressive activity.

    Pretty soon everyone is scared and sleeping in the same room for safety and comfort. The ghost has brought the family together, how nice.  Everyone is thinking about the ghost and waiting nervously for the next sign of activity, now everyone is reinforcing the link to the ghost on the airway.The ghost has even more of a conduit to draw it to the people. So it shows up and does something that instills fear ,now in thee people or whatever and gets even more fuel, which is exactly what it thrives on. Now it has a good thing going.

    Then the family starts talking about the ghost to people and maybe friends come by to experience the ghost, now the ghost is a celebrity with more people tuning in and feeding it. Friends come to spend the night to see the ghost, and they feed the ghost their fear. Pretty soon, this ghost is a powerhouse, so it can produce even more impressive activity.

   This becomes an endless cycle which strengthens the power of the ghost. Now the one person who first experienced the ghost and some of the other family members are so traumatized, that all they can think or worry about is the next dreaded night in the house with the dreaded ghost who, is now doing more and more serious activity, maybe now the ghost is touching them or moving obhects etc.

    Just like some living people form a relationship with their physical abusers, maybe someone in the house has now personified and attempted to communicate with the ghost. Now the ghost has it made, as the person is setting up a real line of communication with it, and feeding it even more thought form energy than ever before. Other spirits tune in to the power source and the energy and they show up to feed and add to the melee. Now there are more than one ghost who can pool their energies to create even more impressive displays to scare the pants off everyone.Now you have an infestation. Great!

   By now the ghost who could barely creak a floorboard or dreaded ghost who, is now doing more and more serious activity, maybe now the ghost is touching them or moving objects etc.

   By now the ghost who started out as a shadow or a bump in the night, is with a life of it's own that is maintained and fed by the very people who created it. This does happen.

   Another alternative is a transient spirit who is looking for a fix stops by and sees the oppurtunity and now they actually do have a problem. There are so many ways that a ghost can be raised up to become a formidable entity akin to a demon by people themselves. I am writing this blog because I have seen these cases and worked these kinds of cases, and there is no resolving them, as the family themselves have to starve out and destroy the thing they have either created or fed to the point where it is collossal.

  Some food for thought, is what this blog is, and here is some good advice for anyone who suspects a spirit haunting their home. DO NOT follow this pattern. Do not tell your kids about the ghost you saw or heard, and put them on the airway too. Do not feed the ghost your fear, and give it rise to celebrity by making it the topic of conversation every day with everyone. Realise that you have to fight spiritual energy with spiritual energy and no matter what your faith if you take the place described above you are adding to the problem, maybe even creating it. Malevolent hauntings rely on paranormal hysteria, so don't buy into the hysteria.

    If you have a ghost that is causing problems get real help from a reputable person. Do not attempt communication yourself, with tape recorders seances, ouija boards, etc. Do not romanticize the ghost by giving it a name and talking to it, and trying to "help" the ghost, it may not need your help just your fuel. Do not spread your fear to your kids, and to others. Don't live for two years with activity mounting and then call someone for help after you have created a monster, that you are actually fostering. You would be surprised how many people call me and then say, "Oh we don't want to get rid of the ghost, just make him stop hurting us, or scaring us." The ghost has become part of their reality to the point where it serves to feed some excitement into their lives, yet they are now having their lives turned upside down by it.

UPDATE ON THE PASCO CRYPTO MARCH 2009:

A MAN DRIVING IN HOLIDAY FLORIDA SAW THIS CREATURE THAT HE DESCRIBED AS A BIGFOOT, WHICH HE SPIED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BY THE WOODLINE. hE SAID IT WAS ABOUT 7 OR 8 FEET TALL, STOOD ON TWO LEGS AND WAS COVERED IN DARK HAIR.

 UPDATE ON THE PASCO CRYPTO;OUR CASEFILES/ December 18th 2008 Sighting

It seems the Abominable Swamp Slob is back:

   A pasco county woman, returned home late one night on December 18th. She rolled into her driveway at 2:00 AM in a rural area. As her headlights shone into her front yard she saw, what she thought was a large dog with shaggy brown hair, down on all fours near her ornamental fish pond. Not wanting to encounter this animal, she flashed her headlights in hope of scaring it off so she could enter her property. The animal seemed to move off at high speed with a loping gate to the right of the property.

    The woman exited her car and went cautiously in the front gate. She took two or three steps and then looked to her right, and saw, standing near her garage about sixty feet away,  a man sized creature. on two legs rather than four, covered in shaggy brown hair. Alarmed and terrified she ran into the house, locked her doors and contacted us. I went to the scene the next morning and did see what appeared to be a large bare footprint in the sand near the tall bushes that border the garage on the right side.

    This is the same area where the man in the article below was attacked, back in September. I took photos of this print but the photos are not clear enough to show it satisfactorily by my standards, so I have not posted them here. I hope to get better shots in the upcoming investigation of the area.

   I think the fish may be a source of attraction to this omnivorous creature. There have been chickens disappearing in this same neighborhood at two locations, but of course it could be racoons or other natural predators. But usually a raccoon will just make off with one chicken not three at a time.

   The chickens that were consumed at the scene and not carried off, had their heads ripped off and just the breast meat consumed. This is another oddity to me, as coons and other predators usually eat all parts of the chicken. Some of the residents in this neighborhood have hard strange sounds at night and heard heavy footsteps outside ,crunching in the dry leaves on their properties at night.

   The wooded area behind these residences is sectioned off by a four foot chain link fence that runs the entire length of the block where the houses begin. Upon investigating the area immediately behind the homes, we found that at the end of the fence where it meets up with an even higher fence, a portion of the four foot fence has been mashed down to about a foot and a half tall, as if something just stepped on it with a lot of weight and crushed it down. I believe this is how this creature has gained access to the residential neighborhood where all this is going on. It can then move through the safety of the tree and vegetation cover and gain access over the back fences of the homes that  even have fences at all, as some do not. 

DECEMBER 23rd 2008 Sighting?

   We also had a report of a large black creature the size of a bear that was seen lying in the road on a highway four blocks from these homes. This came in only five days after the woman encountered something in her yard. We got to the scene within a half and hour and the creature must have lumbered off. We are assuming it had been hit by a car and later awoke and left the roadway.

   There were two separate motorists who saw the thing along with the passengers of the vehicles. They both went home to call someone about the creature which they thought was injured or dead. One of the motorists happens to know us from the case and called us immediately.

   We spoke with all the witnesses, who claimed it was curled up and was the size of a bear, but they could not get a look at it's face and did not want to exit their vehicles out of fear, that the wounded animal might be aggressive, if it was still alive. There have been no bears in this area of Pasco for over fifty years or more. So what did they see on the roadside? Both motorists claim to have driven around it, as it partially blocked the road. Even more curious is where did it go in such a short time, if it was actually that badly wounded?

STRANGE ANIMAL ATTACK IN PASCO COUNTY;

A man in Pasco County sustained injuries on his arm in an attack by an unknown animal or entity on 9/13/2008 at 4:30 am. This was reported to us and we are including the story here with photos of his injuries.

   The man got up at 4:30 am and went to the kitchen to get something to drink. He heard a persistant tapping or knocking on the kitchen window. He lives in a mobile home in a rural area. His windows are at a height of almost six feet from ground level. Upon looking out the window he saw nothing in the darkness, The tapping resumed when he walked away from the window, so he went outside to see what could be the cause of this sound. He heard some rustling from behind the fence in his yard. The fence is covered in wild grapevine just like most of the fences in this area ,which border the woods. As in this picture below.

When the man went to look over the fence the vines were blocking his view so he reached out with his arm to move some of the vines aside. When he did so, he claims that something grabbed his arm and started pulling him into and almost over the fence. He said it felt like two hands grabbed his arm, one at the forearm and one at the bicep. He is a large man weighing in at about 250 lbs. and is over six feet tall. A former war veteran and  former biker, he is not easily scared or given to panic, but he did become alrmed and tried to pull his arm away from his assailant who seemed to be pulling with a tremendous strength and force on his arm. He finally did wrech his arm free by literally pulling it from the grasp of whatever had a hold of it. During this struggle he received some severe scratches and wounds from what felt like the nails of this thing. See below:

Whatever did this to this man, was extremely strong and the scratches and gouges left behind were flat, and about almost one eigth of an inch wide. Some were deeper than others and they were spaced wide apart. There was some minor bruising around some of them.

   The man is seen here, laying his arm over the fence as he did that night. This particular fence is about four feet high. There are no thorns on grapevines or any of the vines on the fence, as we checked, this out. No known creatures in Florida have hands of the size he described and these scratches are too far apart to have been caused by a cat or raccoon.

   A human being would have left wider scratches of a much different fashion with surrounding skin abrasions from the scraping of human type nails. There were also some finger like bruises present on his arm as well, big finger bruises at that. So what grabbed this man? Was it a crypto? Was it a paranormal entity? What has that kind of strength? We don't know but, we plan to continue the investigation into this occurence. In the meantime, anyone who has a strange encounter such as this, please let us know about it.

   We are not disclosing this man's name or the location where he lives for his privacy and the purpose of keeping curious folks out of what might be the territory of some dangerous creature at this time. But we would like to hear from anyone in Pasco county who has had an encounter with a creature that resembles the Florida Bigfoot.

  This particular man is someone we know very well and he is not given to making up stories or hallucinations. He is a good ole boy who pretty much keeps to himself and lives on the woodline with his adult son and his girlfriend, and two pit bull dogs. Which reminds me opf an interesting detail. The dogs never barked that night as they do when a human intruder comes around, infact they did not even accompany him out of the house as they normally would under such circumstances. That also makes me wonder what they sensed that they wanted no part of. We are going to be investigating this case, and will post our findings here,when they become available, if we find anything.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY WAVES

Paranormal activity waves current in local areas, are something we always try to keep tabs on to learn more about these waves of intense activity and what may be the cause of the spikes in certain areas. If an area is listed below in these announcements it is because we have received more than three reports from three separate individuals, and or have already had cases there. For example in the Anclote area listed below we have had 47 reports in the last 20 years and six cases in the last ten years. We now consider this to be an active area for paranormal activity and try to keep tracking and logging this information, and the time of year that it seems to spike the most.

Attention; EMBASSY HILLS RESIDENTS IN PORT RICHEY FLORIDA/posted 7/10/2008

ATTENTION; ANCLOTE RIVER AND SURROUNDING AREA RESIDENTS/Posted 8/20/2008

We are also seeking any reports of paranormal activity in:

The Anclote area between Tarpon Springs thru to New Port Richey, from Anclote boulevard to Bailey's Bluff. We are currently keeping a running log of paranormal activity in this area. It seems to be one of the most active areas for activity of all kinds. If you are having spirit activity or crypto activity and have sighted anything unusual,please let us know. This applies especially to those who live in Key Vista community, in Gulf view heights near Cemetary road, and on Anclote road near the power plant.

ALSO:

   We have had many reports also, of an apparition of a young woman, seen on Anclote road near the power plant. She is described as blond, about 20 years old and wears 80's clothing. She may appear normal or may appear very mangled and with her hair cut short on one side of her head. She usually wears a pink tube like top and jeans, and has been seen by several people over the past ten years. Again contact number is 727-938-1305.

ATTENTION NEW PORT RICHEY RESIDENTS/Posted 8/20/2008:

If you have seen what can only be described as a spectral black dog in the vicinty of Mike Street or Eilleen Street, or are having paranormal activity in a location near this area, please let us know. We have had many reports of this dog apparition and have investigated a lot of haunting activity in this area, and in the area west of US 19, in the communities back behind the Hooters restaurant near the bridge.  The Mysterious orbs that show up in pictures:  

There is great controversy in the paranormal field about orbs, we hope to clear it up a bit here.

Many people wonder if they really have a haunting or they are just imagining things. Many things that appear to be paranormal can be explained in a normal way by ordinary conditions that cause false anomalies and sounds etc. Orbs present in photographs do not always constitute a haunting. Orbs are everywhere and show up on photos quite a bt,especially in digital photos. There are all kinds of orbs; dust, humidity, camera malfunction, flash reflection and other natural causes. There are also real orbs that do not fit into any of these categories and seem to give off their own light. The presence of a real orb in a photo, also does not mean there is a ghost haunting your home. Spirit is everywhere all the time and usually causes no harm or disturbances.

 Many people wonder about orbs, and which are real, so I am posting these pics to help differentiate between them;

Humidity orbs and just one real orb, can you tell which one is not humidity?

 The above picture shows almost all humidity orbs, except for one. the one goping threough the window of the mobile home. Note the difference between them and the fact that it is passing literally through the glass.

The elusive real orb. I got this at a golf course that was being haunted, when I asked out loud for the spirit to show me his light on film. It stands alone and is brighter than humidity orbs, with a bluish tint.

This one is real.

 This orb was captured against a dull brick wall where there is nothing to reflect the light, It gave off it's own light. Notice the bluish tint in the orb. Some really bright orbs display this bluish effect indoors. This pic was taken during a dance class in the late afternoon in a well lit building. This building is very old and has a long history before it became a recreation center. There have been spirits in this building for years. I can only assume that this one really likes the energy and the music during this class. We have captured many orbs in this location and frequent orbs have ruined photo sessions there, when the dance company tries to take publicity photos.

What are the real signs of a possible haunting?

Signs of a possible haunt are;

1. Voices in the home that have no explanation. Especially those that call out your name or the name of another in the household.

2. Electric and electronic disturbances. Lights turning off and on by themselves etc.

3. Objects moving on their own accord. Doors opening and closing, and things moving from one place to another.

4. Knocking or banging on doors, wondows,walls, floors etc. that cannot be attributed to loose floorboards, plumbing pipes, loose fascia, tree branches etc. Scratching sounds usually turn out to be rats 99 percent of the time.

5. A feeling of being chilled to the bone ,out of nowhere when the house is warm, and you walk down a hallway or into a room. If it takes twenty minutes or more to recover from the teeth chattering, shivering cold that has suddenly come upon you, you could have a ghost that you accidently walked into or through.

6. If your dog barks at something invisable or the cat stares at something and then bolts away. your pets could be seeing something in your home that you can't.

7. If you see apparitions in the home, there is a good chance that you have a ghost present. Whether or not it becomes a problem depends on the nature of the ghost and if it is active or residual.

8. If something touches you or physically attacks you, then you obviously have a problem and need to get someone in to check it out.

There are many kinds of hauntings. What some people might take to be a haunting, may  be nothing more than a harmless visitation by a loved one. Other times it may be a genuine haunt by a troubled or disturbed spirit trying to get attention or get a message across. Below is a list of the most common types of ghost and or spirits that we have encountered over the years. The majority of them are just human spirits of the departed. Others can be more serious and cause more problems as they are some kind of non-human interdimensional spirit. The ones listed below are the type that usually cause negative reactions and seem to be threatening to the people experiencing the activity they cause.

1. Angry former resident; This type of ghost is usually being resentful of someone in their space especially if you start redecorating.

2. Fixated Opportunist; this is a spirit who fixates on one member of the household, feeding off that person's fear and energy. Then using it to fuel it's displays of activity, much like a poltergeist.

3. The frustrated deceased friend or relative; they only want attention and maybe to communicate and when they don't get it, they try harder, thereby doing some dramatic things that cause fear to their loved ones.

4. Transient area opportunist ;This is a ghost or spirit who doesn't haunt just one house but maybe several in a given area, getting his kicks by mischievous annoyances and thrives on the reaction and the energy it provides.

5. Sustained, artificial thought form entity: This is an artificial intelligence that was created by the phantasms of a living person and has been raised up to have a seemingly real life of it's own by being fed energy by the creator and those who experience it in the surroundings. And yes it can happen and does in many cases.

6. Malevolent predatory entity; This is a truly bad spirit who preys on children, people in a weak emotional state or people who are open and susceptible because they are sensitive. This is bad news, for all concerned.

7. Mischievous elemental spirit or human show off ghost: This is the ghost that really does no actual harm but likes to make big shows of activity for the sheer kick of it all.

8. Unknown interdimensional spirit, not a deceased human ghost at all...These are usually very strong and often appear as solid black shadows. They are not shy, do not disappear upon being noticed, but usually are just watchers, rather than the spirits that haunt and make noise, they just observe, sometimes too close for comfort. These are what people sometimes refer to as a "Shadow Man."

Notice I have not used the words, demon, or poltergeist. This is because A.] Any ghost can be a noisy ghost, without children or a young person present to create activity, as far as poltergeists go. B.] We do not even know if there are demons, this is a religious term from the dark ages. I have never seen one that I know of and although I have heard of some extreme cases, no one knows for sure at this point. Why assume the worse possibility, in assuming that something is a demon?

 OK,   now that we have identified the usual culprits for a negative haunt, how do we put a stop to it?

This is a complex question. We have to consider many things before we can proceed to a solution. Most haunting require just that ,a "Solution" not an excorcism or a banishing. As a rule if a ghost is trying to communicate, whether it be in a negative or positive way, it wants to get a message across or is unhappy about some unresolved issue. I have found that most of the time communication with the spirit and learning as much as you can about whatever that issue may be ,can be very helpful in resolving the haunt. You can mediate with the living and you can mediate with the living in the next world as well, a lot of the time. Now when it comes to getting rid of the ghost, that is another matter'

   You see stories on TV from true haunt cases ,where the clergy fails to get rid of the ghost with a house blessing or a banishing prayer. This happens more than you know. Why? Because first of all there is a fine line between what is truly evil and what is just an upset spirit. Most banishing rituals center on ridding evil spirits. An angry or troubled ghost may not be in that category, so they fly right under the wire of that banishing. Second of course is the possibility that we, are living incarnates on this plane have no control over spirits on the next, as we do not in reality, really know that they are lost, or trapped or need to go to any other place but where they are. This is an assumption we make born of our religious beliefs. Now we come to the third possibility, which is the truly evil ghost or spirit that we do indeed need to try and banish for our own safety. There are many ways to attempt this and the bare truth is..."Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't"

    When they don't you may be faced with no other choice but to move from the premises. Even then if the spirit is attached to you or someone else in the home and not the home itself, the problem can go with you. I know this is not encouraging but I believe in being truthful with people. A spirit attachment is very hard to get rid of, but it can be done eventually, with persistence and an open mind to new solutions to try. Some people, especially children and very lonely people actually form a sort of bond with a spirit and become "ghost anchors" unknowingly tethering the spirit to them. The scenarios are endless and this field is in it's infancy.

    We have been sucessful with stopping bad activity and getting some spirits to move on, but there are others that we could not budge. I would say for every ten you can get rid of there is one that sticks like glue, or just moves on to haunting the guy next door to the previous haunt location. Some haunt several homes on the same street. Some follow us home and then we have to deal with them. We have experienced all of these situations over the years.

People will tell you that white candles deter a ghost from coming around.   False, ghosts love candles, period!

They say that burning sage will get rid of a ghost, and althought it can help to dispell negative energy from the area, it does not stop a ghost hellbent on haunting you. So this depends on the type of spirit and it's strength in the first place.

Hanging rosary beads up everywhere.   I have never seen them stop a ghost, I have one in my home on the wall and I have a resident ghost in my home as well.  Same applies for crucifixes and other religious artifacts.

Salting the house? The only thing salt appears to be able to do, is act as a neutralizer to a ghost's energy. For example if you put salt in a bowl and place a statue in the bowl, the ghost can not move that statue anymore. The salt has some chemical property that prevents the ghost's energy from passing through it. However, when you put it on the floor, what is to stop the ghost from floating over it? Seriously! Pouring it around your home might trap the ghjost inside if it really stops a spirit from advancing past it right? We do not advise this as a viable remedy at all.

Olive oil on the door and window sills?  Well I have not seen it work yet.

Certain symbols when traced in ashes on the doors and on the thresholds do seem to work half of the time. These are, the cross, the six point star in a circle, and the outward spiral. But they too fail here and there. They are usually more effective to ward off spirits that have not entered yet. Or provide a barrier of sorts to certain areas. The best ashes to use are sage ashes and remember they wear away quickly unless they are rubbed into raw wood, such as on wooden stairs or a wood floor, and sprayed with a sealer of some kind.

One thing I have noticed is spirits seem to hate flashbulbs and camera flashes. However if the spirit is nasty enough he or she may get really mad about your flashing the lights at them and take revenge later on, so this is a temporary deterrent at best.

The best defense against spiritual energy is spiritual energy, your own energy. The best way to harness your energy is to fight the fear factor. Fear gives a ghost high octane fuel to use to produce even more intimidating activity. The more scared you are the more the ghost retains the upper hand in the situation. It is much like the school bully when you were a kid. The more he knows you fear him, the more he will try to push you around.

In the above scenario, "Get the Hell out of the house!" Get someone with experience to come in and try to alleviate the situation. In certain cases they may require your presence later on for whatever measures they decide to try and take to solve the problem, but until then stay safe! Where children are involved in this type of scenario, this advice goes triple for them. get them to a safer place until you can resolve the situation. Spirits prey on children and it leaves the children with lasting traumas. Believe me as I was one of those children once.

You would not keep your kids around a vicious or unpredictable dog would you? Or in a place with a child molester, or around a person who is mentally ill and unpredicatable as to their actions, so why keep them in a place with a hostile spirit? What you can't see can hurt them in many ways.

Many times little rays of light show up streaming across the frame of photographs, especially digital photos. Most of this is caused by lights that the camera captures at high speeds and repeats across the frame such as in the pictures below;

Notice the repitition in this anomaly, this is not a real streamer but probably a street or other light that the camera caught and repeated on night vision high speed setting.

Bugs also cause strange anomalies on film like this one;

Notice the moth in the picture and the dotted lone nearby, which is another flying insect reflecting the flash while in flight,leaving a trail through the frame.

Most street lights whow up as yellow or orange streaks across the frame and most bugs look like white dotted lines or yellow dotted lines. But what of these photos to follow:

The orange streak in this photo is not a street light, not a bug, not a reflection. You can see it go out the door and continue outside the porch. It is two straight undotted lines and was taken on regular camera setting, after a noise in the porch prompted us to take the picture. This is a streamer. We do not know for sure what they are but they are some kind of energy anaomaly. They can be any color, we have them from this orange hue to dark blue, pink, green and others.

And what on earth is this? It was way too cold for bugs to be out on the night this was taken as it was dead of winter and one of the ngiths when the temperature fell to 38 degrees. It was in a wooded field with no lights of any kind nearby. It does not repeat across the frame. It looks almost like something is drawing an image in thin air that resembles a thunderbird or an angel. This one puzzles us. This we believe is another kind of streamer photo with some unknown energy source creating the anomaly.

Then there is this one. yeah I know, I know, looks like a swarm of bugs but again, too cold for bugs and this is accompanied by red ectoplasm. Again no lights anywhere nearby either. The jury is still out on this one.

This is a new feature we have added to the site. We are going to post the latest stupid ghost trick here in this section. All of these have come from our actual cases and experiences and many are quite amusing.

For this month May 2009 the winner is: the "Baby block throwing ghost." Our ghostchaser and I were bombarded with small, wooden, baby blocks thrown at our legs and feet, at a case where we were performing a house cleansing. We were not hurt but felt the ghost failed miserably at scaring us with this lame action.

 For the month of February2009 the winner is: The insulting ghost who gave us the following evps, insulting us at random. He called Alexis and Danielle "Damned Hookers" and he called Sean and I "pigs"

For the month of September2008 the winner is: "Singing Ghost EVP"

 Ghost that sings this song,"Come to the day of the dead" to our investigators at cemetary, this EVP can be found on the case updates page. It is the last link in the Sept./2008 section. We found this very amusing indeed,and can only take it as an invitation to come back on Halloween" the day of the dead."

 For the month of June 2008 the winner is;

 "GHOST SLAMS DOOR 18 TIMES "

This is an absolutely true story from a case we took on last week. I had to post this as it for some reason just strikes me as very amusing. We went to a case last week where we found five spirits . We got evps from all five. One is believed to be the former owner of the house who has been causing some trouble with the last two subsequent owners of the house. While we were there, every time I would start an evp session the front door would open and slam shut, this happened 18 times in three hours in front of seven people. We were sitting jst about 15 feet from the door at the time. You could hear the latch turn the door creak open and then watch it slam shut. On the tape during three of the door slams there is a very low evp that says..."Fucking people!" and "These fucking people!" I still am not sure if he was trying to tell us where the door was and wanted us to leave or he was frustrated and trying to scare us off. either way ,it failed and we are going back to cleanse the home this coming week. I just find it amusing that he kept at it for so long. This will make my next blog for stupid ghost tricks for sure. We have some awesome evps from this case that I will post later in the month

For the month of July the winner is..."Mountain Dew" ghost

While at an investigation at a coffee shop, a ghost says very loudly, "Mountain Dew" this was said over the voice of a woman who was talking about drinking coffee at the coffee house. What the point of this was...we do not know, but he spoke directly into the microphone as the mic. was four feet from the live woman talking in the room and he as so loud he drowned her out completely with his interjecting remark. Perhaps he was putting in his order? LOL

  For many years there have been stories of some kind of entity that comes in the night and terrorizes people. Some call it "The Old Hag" syndrome but I do not think that quite covers it. This experience tends to vary from person to person. Some people do claim to see an old hag sitting on their chest. Others claim it is a black form, and others see nothing but feel as if  something or someone climbs onto the bed and holds them down , and they can't move, scream or sometimes even breathe during this experience. It usually lasts for a few seconds that seem like forever and leaves the person very shaken up or cold when it is over. Now I have heard stories from folks who say they were asleep and were woken up by it, others who say they were awake and still others who say they were in the in between stages of sleep and wakefullness.

   Everyone agress on one thing...something climbed onto the bed and accosted them. Strangely enough the majority of what I call "night Crusher" incidents have occured in a home where there was already a certain amount of paranormal activity of other kinds, that would point to the possibility of a ghost being in the home. Scientists attribute this experience to a waking dream and sleep paralysis, which makes the person unable to move or scream. Most of the people who have had this experience say they were laying on their backs. I find this curious as on one's back is also the same position in which a person is most likely to trance out, mediatate or attempt to astral travel. Is it possible ,that these folks went down to some altered state that allowed contact with this entity? How many people claim they were almost aslepp when they heard someone call their name? Is this also a coincidence? Now I have never experienced this thank goodness and do not hope to. I sleep on my side not my back.

    I have heard night crusher stories from all kinds of people from all walks of life over the years.  And in one of my cases,  four different people were night crushed in the home, some of them guests who knew nothing about the experiences of the residents there. Now can this case be chalked up to sleep paralysis? Mass hallucination?  I find it difficult to accept that in cases like the one I just mentioned that this strange experience can be dismissed as coincidence. One of the crusher victims in this particular home was a 235 pound man who was wide awake lying in the bed when it happened. It would take a lot of power to hold down that man, wouldn't you think? We later discovered that the ghost in the home was a relative who lived there for a long time and she just wanted to be close to her family members again, scaring the living daylights out of them in the process. So now what? What deos this tell us about the night crusher events? Maybe not all are intentionally malevolent or predatory after all.

   There was another case of a teenage boy who was accosted by a similar crushing entity in the early morning in a new home that his family had just moved into. He managed to fight it off before it could really get a grip and said it never happened again. People with bad hearts are the ones who suffer the worst with a night crusher experience. I had one case where the victim of this repeated attack had a bad heart and actually went to stay somewhere else until the activity was reduced in the home.
