What is MOPS?

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a program designed to encourage, nurture, and support all mothers of preschoolers.  MOPS is open to all mothers who have children from birth to kindergarten.  We come together from all age groups and backgrounds with a shared desire to be the best moms, wives, and Christian women that we can be.  MOPS understands that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.  We provide a friendly and fun place for mothers to relax, encourage, and learn from one another about how to handle this rewarding but sometimes tough time in our lives.

What do we do at a MOPS Meeting?

At a typical MOPS meeting, moms can enjoy delicious snacks, adult conversation, fabulous speakers and fun crafts.  Not to mention gab time with the girls!  It's a great place to reenergize and connect with other moms.

What about my children?

During meetings children are cared for in the church by a group of trained, responsible caregivers.  Your child will experience a loving, preschool-like setting with other children their same age.  Children are given time to interact with each other and express themselves through play, music, crafts, and through learning a lesson focusing on Biblical principles and values.  You can have piece of mind that your child is well cared for while you are just a room away enjoying some much needed adult time.

When and Where do we meet?

Meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month from September through April.  We meet from 9:00am until 11:00 am.   We meet at Pinelake Church (6071 Hwy. 25, Brandon, MS- 601-829-4500).

  What does MOPS cost?

There is a $5 suggested donation per meeting to cover speakers, supplies, and other expenses. In addition, for only $25 a year a mom can register for membership with MOPS International and receive a one-year subscription to MOMSense magazine, weekly MOM-E- Mail messages, a free book and CD and other great offers.

What else do we do?

We have Mom's Night Out events planned as well as play dates when we are not meeting as a group.
