RSE Walkthrough - Sootopolis City/Cave of Origin/Seafloor Cavern/RT 131

Sootopolis City

Items: Rain Badge, Wailmer Doll, TM31, TM03

Pok'emon in water: Magikarp(Old Rod), Gyarados(Super Rod), Tentacool

The first thing you'll notice and be disappointed about is that the GYM is locked. While you're here, you might as well get the other items. Get the Wailmer Doll from a lady in one of the houses and TM31 - Brick Break from a guy in one of the houses. (Continue to the Seafloor Cavern to unlock the GYM)

After you have defeated Team Magma/Aqua once and for all and have captured Groudon/Kyogre, the GYM will be opened. The GYM is all about Water Pok'emon, so bring the best Electric and Grass types you know. The GYM is hard to get through, so follow the screens below. If you drop through the ice, there are trainers itching to battle you. You should battle them anyway for much-needed experience.

GYM Leader: Wallace

Pok'emon: Luvdisc - Water - L40

                 Whiscash - Water/Ground - L42

                  Sealeo - Ice/Water - L40

                  Seaking - Water - L42

                  Milotic - Water - L43

The biggest change to this gym, instead of renovations, is the fact that the GYM Leader is a new guy named Juan. Like Wallace, he is a master of Water types, so bring in the best Electric and Grass types you've got. Also, bring in a Fighting type to tangle with Crawdaunt when the going gets tough. Sometimes hitting a Pokemon's secondary element is the best way to go.

GYM Leader: Juan

Pokemon: Luvdisc - Water - L41

                 Whiscash - Water/Ground - L41

                 Sealeo -Water/Ice - L43

                 Crawdaunt - Water/Dark - L 43

                 Kingdra - Water/Dragon - L46

Prizes - Both of them will hand over the Rain Badge and TM03 - Water Pulse.

RT 127, RT 128,  & Seafloor Cavern:

Pok'emon: Magikarp(Old Rod), Wingull, Pelipper, Wailmer(Good Rod), Sharpedo(Super Rod), Tentacool

Items: Carbos, Zinc, Rare Candy()

Pok'emon in Cavern: Zubat, Golbat

Pokemon in Cavern in Water: Magikarp(Old Rod), Tentacool, Wingull, Wailmer (Good Rod), Zubat, Golbat

Item in the Cavern: TM26(Earthquake)

Pokemon in Water(RT 127): Magikarp (Old Rod), Wingull, Pelipper, Tentacool, Wailmer(Good Rod), Sharpedo(Super Rod)

Pokemon in Water(RT 128): Corsola (Super Rod), Magikarp(Old Rod), Wingull, Pelipper, Tentacool, Wailmer(Good Rod), Luvdisc(Good Rod)

Dive in the dark water and find the entrance to the Seafloor Cavern. When you enter, you find the sub Team Magma/Aqua stole from Capt.Stern in Slateport. It's very hard to get through the cavern, so bring Pok'emon that have the abilities Surf, Rock Smash, Strength, and Dive. Get past all the Magmas/Aquas and meet the leader near the sleeping Groudon/Kyogre. Below are screens of the hardest room to solve in the cavern.

When you get to the leader, he'll want to battle you. Which ever version, the leader will have a L41 Mightyena and a L41 Golbat. If you have Ruby, the third Pok'emon is a L43 Camerupt. If you have Sapphire, the third Pok'emon is a L43 Sharpedo. Even if you defeat the leader, Kyogre/Groudon will run away and the world will change. If you have Ruby, the sun will become very bright. If you have Sapphire, it will rain like there's no tomarrow...and there won't be if you don't go back to Sootopolis and make things right!!!

The same thing happens as in RS, but you will be fighting Team Aqua Leader Archie. In the room with him is Kyogre in which he wants to wake. Even when in defeat, Archie awakens Kyogre with the Red Orb. It stirs and flies away. Groudon is also known to have awoken. Get back to Sootpolis to see what is going on.

The Cave of Origin:

Pok'emon: Zubat, Golbat, Mawile(), Sableye(), Kyogre(), Groudon()

Back in Sootopolis, there is a cave which was originally closed off to the public. The leader of the Sootoplis GYM and Steven allow you to enter for your one chance to capture Kyogre/Groudon and make things right. Bring Timer Balls, they seem to work best if you want to leave your Master Ball for later (which is the best idea since Kyogre/Groudon is only L46). Going through this cave is simple, just find the nearest staircase in every room 'til you get to the Pok'emon. After you catch it or kill it, the world goes back to normal and you can challenge the GYM Leader. Don't expect him to go easy on you, though. You only saved the world!

Back in Sootopolis, Groudon and Kyogre are in a fierce battle with each other right in Sootopolis port! Head over to the Cave of Origin and speak to Steven. He leads you into the cave of origin and you can speak to Wallace, the former GYM Leader and an expert on legendary Pokemon. He tells you that there may be help at the Sky Pillar on RT 131. (See sub-quests page for Sky Pillar info.) The first time you go to the Sky Pillar, Wallace meets you there and tells you to go up and wake Rayquaza. The floors are all sturdy the first time and getting to Rayquaza is easy. You can't catch it this time, but the next time you come you can. Rayquaza will end the battle and Kyogre and Groudon will settle  down. Afterward, head over to the Sootoolis gym for your final badge.

When things go right again, go back to Mt.Pyre to witness the leader of Team Magma/Aqua returning the Red/Blue Orb. While you're there, return your orb too!

RTs 129, 130, 131:

Pok'emon RT129: Magikarp(Old Rod), Wingull, Pelipper, Sharpedo(Super Rod), Wailmer(Good Rod), Wailord, Tentacool

Pok'emon RT130-131: Magikarp(Old Rod), Wingull, Pelipper, Tentacool, Wailmer(Good Rod), Tentacool, Sharpedo(Super Rod)

There's really nothing here except trainers who want to battle you. After you defeat the Elite Four, come back to RT 131 to access the Sky Pillar(if you're reading for RS).
