Piggin Rescue, for all small pets in Milton Keynes.

You can't change the world by saving one animal, but for that one animal, you change its world...

In loving memory of Wilbur, aka Little Man, pictured here aged 2 weeks old, who sadly only enjoyed 4 weeks of life before suddenly passing away.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. PIGGIN RESCUE WILL NO LONGER BE TAKING IN ANY ANIMALS FROM BREEDERS, UNLESS THE BREEDER IS GIVING UP COMPLETELY. WE HEAVILY FROWN UPON PEOPLE FORCING ANIMALS THROUGH PREGNANCY AND BIRTH FOR THEIR OWN MEANS, AND WILL NO LONGER BE SUPPORTING THEM BY TAKING IN THEIR UNSOLD/SURPLUS PETS TO MAKE WAY FOR MORE LITTERS BEING BORN. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ANIMAL/S I BELIEVE TO HAVE BEEN PURPOSELY BRED.

PLEASE NOTE, I AM HAPPY TO HELP OUT GENUINE CASES OF ACCIDENTAL LITTERS/WRONGLY SEXED PAIRINGS RESULTING IN BABIES AND SO ON.

Welcome to Piggin Rescue!

Please enjoy browsing through the pages of pets looking for homes, services we offer and learn about who we are and what our aims are.

Please be aware that going to a rescue is not a 'cheap way to get a pet'. Many of the animals handed in to rescue are in need of lots of tlc, regular handling, and time and patience for them to become loving, family pets.

For anyone wishing to take on a new pet, please make sure you fully research the pet, ask people who keep them for advice, and consider carefully the true cost of keeping that type of pet. The inital outlay for a new hutch, run, toys etc can soon mount up, as can the running costs such as bedding, food, replacement toys, vaccinations, unexpected vet trips and so on.

A pet is a lifetime commitment, and one that should never be untertaken on a whim or giving in to begging and pleading from children. Are you prepared to clean out the hutch in winter when their young owners get bored and dont want to do it? Please consider all of this before welcoming a new pet into your home.

PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO RECENT EVENTS, I AM UNFORTUNATELY AND RELUCTANTLY HAVING TO INTRODUCE A NEW SURRENDER FORM WHICH NEEDS TO BE FILLED OUT AND SIGNED WHEN AN ANIMAL IS PLACED INTO MY CARE. AS BEFORE, ADOPTION AGREEMENTS WILL ALSO STILL NEED TO BE FILLED OUT AND SIGNED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOOD RECORD KEEPING AND MY POLICIES.

If you can help by making a donation, or can help by donating any goodies for the animals, please get in touch.
