Dear Friends
Since September 2009 we have experienced a drop off in attendance at
the Jamboree. We understand that other similar events in the area have also
seen fewer people in attendance. While there may be a number of reasons
behind this trend the indications that we have seen point to concerns about
the H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu) and the continuing difficulties in the economy.
While the Jamboree is still financially viable we feel it is best to
suspend the Jamboree for a few months until at least the end of the flu
season. At that point we will reassess the situation and make a decision to
either restart the Country Music Jamboree or to continue to keep it on hold.
Margaret and I will use this time to concentrate our efforts on promoting
the Resurrection Airmen Band to new venues, adding new tunes and exploring
country swing with twist of jazz.
We will miss all of you during this time but look forward to meeting you all
again when time is right. Thank you all for your faithful prayers and
support. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions related to the
Country Music Jamboree please feel free to contact us. We will continue to
send out the newsletter as items and events of interest arise.
God Bless and keep on picking and grinning!!
