"A beautifully romantic version of the Beauty and the Beast where stage comes alive. A father of six loses his fortune and his family becomes poor. He gets news that one of his ships has been found and goes to reclaim it. He asks his children what they want when he returns and they all ask for expensive items except for Beauty who asks for simply a rose. The father discovers that his ship has been sold and begins his return home. He comes across a palace where he finds the most beautiful rose for Beauty. He picks it and discovers the Beast. The Beast then give the father a choice, bring Beauty to the palace to be his bride or die. Not the Disney version."
