GEMS FAQs

What does GEMS mean?

G.E.M.S. stands for Girls Enriching their Minds and Spirits.

What does G.E.M.S. do?

The G.E.M.S. club helps encourage the girls of Pebblebrook High School to strive for personal excellence while also having a positive influence on their peers and community.  To help us reach our personal goals of excellence, G.E.M.S. set positive examples for their peers through their appearance and behavior, and complete service projects to help give back to their community and school.

How much are dues?

Dues for the G.E.M.S. club are $10 per semester.

What are the dues for?

In order to provide refreshments for meetings, it is necessary to charge dues.  Membership dues are also used to help offset the costs of senior gifts, gem pins, handouts, copies, and special gifts given to members throughout the school year.  Food and drink donations are encouraged and appreciated to help us stretch the dues even further.

How often does the club meet?

G.E.M.S. meet every other Tuesday at 4PM in the Advisement Center.  Once tutoring buses begin running, members will be able to receive bus passes to ride the tutoring buses home.  Meetings tentatively end at 5PM to ensure that those riding the buses will have time to load the buses.
