My name is Nancy and I'm a 38 year old mom residing in Minnesota. I started Photography at a very young age. My photography started in the dark room at the age of 8. Although I had lots to learn at such young age, I began to do my own work about two months later. The dark room was a relaxing place,, a world away from a cruel life. I didn't have much experience with the camera because my preference was working in the dark room. Over the years I developed a real passion for photography. I did a lot of shoots with horses, my favorite animal. Once my daughter was born my photography shifted to her. Because I wasn't used to work behind the camera I decided to take a course in photography. The work was not only in the dark room, but there was lots of projects that were done behind the camera. After I scored a straight A in this course, I decided to move on to the Advanced photography. Pretty much the same as the first course but more advanced. I again scored a straight A for that one. These courses were pretty much done with the 35 mm and working manual was a little more challenged then a point and shoot. But I learned a lot and the course was definitely worthy.
With so many people going to the Digital, I decided to follow in their footsteps and bought my first Minolta Konica in February this year. Nothing fancy but good enough for a amateur photographer. My shoots have now more expended to portraits, macro and full body shots. Not only do I shoot horses and flowers, I do lots of shoots of my daughter who is a aspiring model. I still have lots to learn but that comes with time. I hope to buy a more professional camera in the near future as I want to upgrade and make better pictures.
