Dublin Bus: Airlink

The Dublin Bus Airlink service was re-branded in 2006 with a new livery of two tone aqua/teal green, as seen above and below. AV116 was the first bus to receive the livery.

These photos were taken on O'Connell St. on Wednesday 12th July 2006 while the bus was on show to Dublin Bus management.
After the livery was been approved by management and it stayed mainly the same but a couple of branding alterations took place. One notable change was the removal of the 9 euro return fare branding, as this ticket type was not offered on board to bus, this would avoid any confusion.

The Airlink service consists of two routes:

Route 747: Dublin Airport via O'Connell Street to Central Bus Station, Busaras & Connolly Rail Station.
Route 748: Dublin Airport via Tara St. Station, City Centre and Aston Quay (for Temple Bar) to Heuston Rail Station.

Fleet Information:
All of these Airlink buses (AV116 to AV128 and spare AV129/130) are specially designed buses for use on the Airlink express bus service to Dublin Airport.
They all have dual doors, bonded glazing & extra luggage racks and are based at Summerhill Garage. The table below shows their class, registration and current livery.

Out With The Old And In With The New:

AV128 & AV116 on O'Connell St on Wednesday 12th July 06.
The old livery of yellow, blue and green was also replaced due to complaints that it was too similar to the current fleet standard livery of yellow and two tone blue.
