The purpose of this group is to show the Judges our concern for their court litigants. This is a support network. You are not alone.
If you would like to become a Phone Tree caller/volunteer, please sign yourself up to the phonetree yahoogroup: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PhoneTree/.
Please follow the FORMAT of the yahoogroup as described by clicking on the Files link when you click on the link above. Please do not "chat", post announcements, or hold other side conversations on the PhoneTree yahoogroup. Please post such correspondence at PTChat at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PTChat.
The goal is to have cases posted here and updated regularly so you can come back and read the latest cases. This is so that once you know how to make Phone Tree contact, you may come here to find new cases to make contact for if you want to avoid receiving email from the phonetree yahoogroup.
If you would like the support of Phone Tree, please provide the following:
1) Court case name/number
2) City/state of courthouse
3) Accurate contact information for the Phone Tree callers to contact (any or all, but email is often preferable):
3a) Phone number
3b) Fax number
3c) email address. Email is best to save the Phone Tree activists long-distance phone call expenses. This could get expensive! Thank you.
4) Person/position to contact: "court clerk", "district attorney", etc.
5) Date of your court appearance
6) Brief summary (1 paragraph) about your case
You will then post the above informaiton to the Phone Tree yahoogroup by email so that volunteers will make polite contact on your behalf, asking about the status of your case. We hope this will help all of us who need to let the Judges know that the general public is concerned about how your case is being handled. We hope that by flooding courthouses across America, Judges will wake up to our immense power in numbers and that we do not tolerate injustice in our courts.
The Phone Tree project has no budget and is in need of more volunteers in order to keep the Phone Tree quickly responsive to the needs of the general public. It is anticipated that very soon the Phone Tree will be overwhelmed with requests for Phone Tree services. Volunteers and donations to help phone calls placed by Phone Tree activists are desired. Spread the word!
You may join the Phone Tree (yahoo) Group below to get Phone Tree announcements of cases and activities. Please remember to stick to the FORMAT as kept in the Files section of the yahoogroup or risk being unsubscribed from the group.
