Phone Card Article Optimization tips picking place to post your Phone Card Articles
How To Choose The Best Directories For Your Article Writing Campaign
By Deanna Mascle
If you have spent any time at all researching internet marketing strategies then you know that writing articles can help position you as an expert in your field, gain valuable targeted traffic for your web site, drive leads to your products, grow your email list, and quickly multiple your site's text links.
Once you are ready to dive into article marketing -- and you have a few articles all lined up and ready to submit -- you can quickly become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of article directories available. Sure you could simply use a search engine to locate article directories but a recent search netted me 17,800,000 results. That's enough to make anyone give up before they even begin! Plus that is really not a very effective way to determine the quality of a directory and doing your own quality check can be extremely time-consuming.
Why should you care about the quality of the directory? Just think about it. On the internet you are very much judged (by search engines and visitors alike) by the company you keep. Another important reason to carefully select your article directories is that your time is finite. It is better to regularly submit to a core group of high-quality directories than to throw the same handful of articles at every directory site you can find.
Finding the best high-quality article directories that meet your specific needs and match your specific goals can greatly increase the power of your article marketing campaign. You need to become a savvy article marketer to maximize your article marketing campaign.
Great, but how do you find those high-quality directories?
When I first embarked on article marketing I went straight to people who had been article marketing for a while and asked them for their top recommendations. I posted the question in a couple forums that I regularly check. I quickly assembled a list of hundreds of sites. Now obviously this list is much more manageable than the 17+ million I got from Google but still rather large. First I culled through and found the sites that were mentioned by more than one person and that list became my starting point. I then gathered as much information as possible to determine if they were right for me. I will share my criteria and priorities but you need to work out your own.
Here are the 10 essential questions I ask when reviewing a site:
1. How old is the directory? Is it well established and ranked or is it new and growing? If not then I cross it off the list.
2. Can you easily identify who owns and/or operates the directory? Is there a way to contact that person?
3. How fast do they respond to your email contacts and/or article posts?
4. How many authors does the site have listed? A lot of authors and articles mean a well established site but there may be room on a growing site for more exposure.
5. How many articles does the site have listed? Again a big site won't get knocked off my list for this but a small site that is growing steadily might be due for a good seo bump soon.
6. Think about the categories you are likely to need and see if they exist. Is there a place to submit all your articles? If this is a niche directory it may be very narrow but then might also be to your benefit in the long run -- if at least some of your articles fit within the niche.
7. What special options does the site offer visitors and publishers? Do they provide RSS feeds, email alerts, forward to a friend function and other strategies to increase the distribution of your articles?
8. Are they responsible with the advertising clients they have on their site? ie: No popups, flashing, or offensive ads
9. Do they provide article reports to help you see which articles are getting viewed, rated, distributed or not?
10. How do the search engines view this site?
After visiting each directory and answering these questions it is easy to refine your list to a handful of top sites that you want to really concentrate your efforts upon. You can also maintain some a list of additional sites to submit to as time allows.
I also regularly re-evaluate my top article directory list. I check my backlinks and the directory stats to see how my articles are doing. Some sites move up and down my priority list (or even off the list entirely) when I investigate how they are performing for me.

I usually would not recomend this for you don't want to keep posting mirror content and its worth the time to change your article title for each site you post to.
But this company will post to the top 50 directories for $50. But yet they will write the article for $10. but I say you get what you pay for

----------------------------------------------------------------------- Tips on Writing Articles The Basic 101
Writing And Submitting Articles To Article Directories
By Tom Worsley
Writing articles for web content and site promotion has become a full blown internet industry. The secret is out. If you want to build credibility and good targeted traffic to your web site you need to submit articles to directories. The more articles you write the better. The more directories you submit to the better.
The trick for search engine optimization is to write an article around your chosen key words. Place those key words in your title and in the body of your article. For example, if you are writing an article to try to get exposure for an Article publishing directory and you want to achieve a high search engine ranking for the key words article directories, you need to use those key words in the title of your article and in the body of the article. This article that you are reading is actually optimized for the key words article directories.
But search engine traffic is not the only benefit to writing articles and submitting them to article directories. Ezine and newsletter publishers search article directories to use in their newsletters. Myself included. When I need an article for my weekly Work from home tips newsletter I head on over to my favorite article directory and start searching for a good article that I think my readers will benefit from. You can also submit your article directly to Ezine publishers in the hopes that they will use your article in their newsletter.
To get the most benefit from your articles you will need to create a by line or signature file at the end of each article. Be sure to add URL’s to your web sites. And if possible use anchor text with your key words rather than just using your URL. Not all article directories will allow this but if they do make sure you take advantage. It will help your search engine ranking for the key words you are using.
If writing is not your thing you can actually pay to have an article written for you. You would submit your keywords and your website to the writer and they would write the article for you. Just do a search on Google for ghost writers and you will find lots to choose from. You then would retain the rights to that article and submit it to directories around the web. Keep in mind you would likely need at least 20 or more articles to see any increase in traffic. Just one article will not do much. So when choosing a ghost writer keep the cost in mind.
Wherever you get your articles from make sure you submit to as many article directories as you possibly can. You never know where people will be searching for articles. There are so many directories now it's mind boggling. But you can find the most popular ones by doing a search on your favorite search engine for article directories.

Calling Card Articles tips on writing about calling card articles.
How to Write Keyword Articles
By Nell Taliercio
A great way to draw search engine traffic to your site is to write and add keyword articles. Keyword articles are articles that you write on a particular topic and then optimize for a word or phrase that visitors frequently search for.
For example, if you have a site that sells baby gifts, you may want to write an article about choosing the perfect baby shower gift. You may optimize that article for the keyword “baby shower gift”. Here is an overview on how you can write keyword articles.
Pick a Specific Keyword Phrase
Do some research on what keywords visitors are typing into search engines to find information on what you have to offer. Use tools like WordTracker or the Overture Keyword Selector Tool. Don’t go for the highly competitive keywords and phrases, instead pick a phrase that is searched for less often but that may be of particular interest to your customers. The more targeted your phrase the better luck you will have attracting people who are very interested in what you're talking about.
Use Your Keyword in the Title of Your Article
Once you have decided on a keyword, use it in your title. Make sure your title is interesting and makes sense. Don’t try to work your keyword in multiple times. Your title will sound odd. An example of a bad title would be “New Baby Gifts and Affordable Baby Gifts for a Baby Shower”.
Don’t Overstuff Your Article with Keywords
Obviously you are going to use your keyword a few times in your article. Just don’t force them in. This is also referred to as overstuffing with keywords. Your main focus should be on writing an article that flows well and provides useful information to your reader. After all it won’t do you any good to get visitors to the page with the article, if you can’t get them to read it.
Don’t Submit Your Keyword Optimized Article to the Article Directories
Submitting articles to the article directories is a great way to gain more traffic and incoming links. You want to avoid creating extra competition for the keyword phrase you picked for your article, so before you submit it, take some time to come up with a different title that doesn’t include your keyword, and maybe even rewrite some sentences within your article to do the same.
Start writing a few articles for different keywords and add them to your site. Within a few weeks you will notice free traffic from the search engine coming in. Make it a habit to come up with a few of these articles each month to continually drive more visitors and potential customers to your site.

"How To Write Effective And Unique Articles That Are Optimized for the Search Engines"
By Karl Augustine
It is a well known fact that writing, distributing and posting articles to various location on the web is an extremely effective way to generate targeted traffic and establish yourself as an experienced marketer in your field. Unique articles that help solve the reader's problems, assists the reader in advancing their marketing acumen, or otherwise generally inform tend to stay posted on many web sites throughout the Internet and usually generate targeted traffic for the writer.
In order to further maximize the benefits of writing and posting unique articles, it makes good business sense to optimize the articles so the search engines list the URL's associated with those articles on search engine results pages (SERP's). Ideally, you'd like to see your article URL on the 1st page of the SERP's so you can capitalize on the free and targeted traffic from these listings.
So, what type of strategy can be utilized to optimize your articles for the search engines?
There's quite a few different ways but here are some tactics that you may want to use:
Article optimization tactic 1: Choose keywords that complement your USP and name your article page accordingly.
When choosing keywords that will be the central theme of your article, it is necessary to define what your article will be about, who the information in the article will benefit, and how it will tie into your USP before choosing your keywords. After you've thought through this, then come up with a list of keywords that will be suitable as the central them of the article.
Next, decide which keywords you will center your article around based on the number of searches that keyword gets per day and by assessing how much competition there is for that keyword phrase. Once you have chosen your keyword phrase for the article, name your page.
Example: If 'green widgets' is the keyword you wish to base your article on, you may want to name your web page 'greenwdgets.htm' or 'greenwdgets.html' or 'greenwdgets.shtml'.
Article optimization tactic 2: Utilize keyword in the title tag. Utilize your keywords that you've chosen for your article in the title tag of the web page.
Example:
Article optimization tactic 3: Utilize keyword in headline tags. Using keywords in headline tags will increase rankings of your web pages.
Ideally you would use the keywords as the headline, but usually this doesn't look natural.
Keep the h tags before and after the entire headline.
Example:
Article optimization tactic 4: Utilize keywords in the 1st sentence of the initial paragraph.
This an easily be accomplished and still make the paragraph read well and in a natural sounding tone if read back. Remember that you want your reader to feel like they are being talked with not "at" and you want your reader to not realize that your placement of your keyword phrases might be planned.
Article optimization tactic 5: Utilize keywords in text with appropriate keyword density. After you write your article, you can easily edit to try to obtain the best keyword density for the search engines you'd like to target.
Google's optimum keyword density is between 1.5% to 2.5% keyword density at the time of this writing.
Once you have the article written you can use GoRank's keyword optimization tool (http://www.gorank.com/seotools/) to check what the keyword density is of the text of the article so you can edit accordingly.
Remember, you don't want to 'stuff' the page with your chosen and targeted keyword phrase but you do want to make sure that you utilize your keywords when you can up to the required amount for the desired keyword density.
Article optimization tactic 6: Bold or italicize keywords in text. When bolding and italicizing your keywords in your articles, it isn't necessary to bold and/or italicize every keyword phrase. When the reader comes across bolded and italicized words they add emphasis to the text at the time they read those words. So you should use your best judgment as to what looks right and 'reads' right when you edit your article.
One key item to remember to write naturally so you get your message across in a human manner.
You want the reader to click to your link at the end or in the body of the article and the more human and conversational your article comes across, the more likely that the reader will travel to the URL you'd like them to see. Some marketers write their articles without search engine optimization in mind and then go back and edit them for the search engines.
After your article is optimized, do all you can to get it posted to other web sites so the number of relevant links pointing to that article is heightened. If you get your article posted to some of the heavier web sites that post articles and have the correct categories where your article will fit, the faster your article URL will get indexed by the search engines.

Online Articles - Get Traffic Today
By Steven Gillman
Online articles may be the single best way to get traffic to your web site. Writing articles and submitting them to free article directories is certainly one of the least expensive ways. To make it work, though, you have to be persuasive.
Maybe you wonder what persuasive writing has to do with articles. You're not exactly selling something with an informative article, are you? Actually, you are. First, you have to persuade the reader to keep reading until he gets to your link at the bottom. Then you have to give the reader a reason to click through to your site. Use the following tips to get more traffic by writing persuasively.
Persuasive Online Articles
1. Keyword optimized headlines. "How Much Can You Make This Year?" will get more readers than "Make More Money," but only if people find the article first. "Get Rich Writing Simple Articles," might have been a more attention grabbing headline, but I used "Online Articles" because that is a keyword phrase that people are actually searching. Of course, if you can use good keywords AND eye-catching headlines, it is even better.
Another way to have the best of both, is to write the article twice. Firt write it with a good keyword-optimized title, and then re-write it and submit it again with a more catchy title. Paint a picture in seven words or less, if you can. "A Thousand Dollars Fell Off My Table," might lure them in. Titles with,"10 Ways To..." or "Avoid These Six Mistakes..." or "How To..." in them, are popular too.
2. The article description. Many article directories require a description. This lets the reader know what the article is about, and hopefully convinces them to read it. Hinting at things and leaving the reader wanting more can help: "If you're making these errors, you're losing money every day. Learn to avoid the most common optimization mistakes."
3. The article body. You should write in your natural style, or, if you haven't yet developed one, stick to easy "top 10" types of articles. Keep paragraphs short, or readers will lose interest. Hinting at incompleteness can also help to get readers to visit your site. Instaed of, "Here's how to write articles." Say, "Here are a few of the techniques I use to easily write new articles." You want them looking for the other techniques - on your site.
4. Use subtitles. The use of subtitles and headings breaks up an article, making it easier to read. Subtitles also help to optimize an article for search engines, if they contain good keywords. You'll notice I often use subtitles, like the one coming up...
Online Articles - The Resource Box
You write online articles to get traffic, which you get from the link in the author's resource box - if the reader clicks on it. Invite them to do so, and never just put your name, acheievements, and a link. At the very least say "To learn more, visit..." or something similar.
My most successful resource box is for my real estate site. It reads, "Steve Gillman has invested in real estate for years. To get a free real estate investing course, and see a photo of a beautiful house he and his wife bought for $17,500, visit http://www.HousesUnderFiftyThousand.com The resource box is what online articles are all about. Below, you'll find an another one that has worked well for me.
Steve Gillman didn't even know what HTML was when he registered his first domain name. Soon afterwards, he was making a good living online. To learn how you can do the same, visit http://www.TenMoney.com

Niche Master Directory: The Only Keyword Driven Article Directory Script Brings an End to Moderating Articles
Article Marketing is by far the best way to promote products over the Internet and at the same time present an author as an expert in his or her field. However, far too many people who try to use articles in this way fail to take into consideration how important relevancy is.
"Article directory owners have to spend far too many hours moderating the content of their sites. People just don't grasp the concept of relevancy, and so we felt the need to do something about it before Article Marketing itself became irrelevant. And so we created Niche Master Directory," says Ken Nadreau, co-owner of Double Head Publishing.
Article Marketing has really taken off lately. Virtually thousands of articles are written and submitted every single day. This is mostly due to Google AdSense and the search engine's keen interest in relevant content.
So everyone's creating high yielding content for their AdSense sites and building significant back links by submitting their articles to high ranking article directories.
Profits are being made, people are being instantly turned into experts in their field, and the search engines are totally loving the constant flow of new content they can show their customers.
But there's one definite way you could completely "blow" the whole thing for yourself, and unfortunately far too many people are doing it lately.
You see, the key factor that makes all of this work is relevance. The search engines want to know that when someone does a search through their system, they'll get exactly what they're looking for. It's what all this talk of changing algorithms are all about.
The search engines are on a quest to find the best way to provide the most relevant material for any specific queries put in front of them, and so they keep changing their algorithms to fulfill their goal.
All we have to do is make it as easy as possible for the search engines to find this specific relevance on our sites and in the articles we write, and we have a marriage made in heaven.
Now when we speak of relevance, there are a number of factors involved. Sure, if you're hoping to get your site listed a the top in the search engines for "baking cookies," your site better be all about baking cookies, and you'd better have a lot of content about it too.
But there's more to it than that.
Even the links on your site should be about baking cookies because the search engines take those into consideration as well when they judge your site's over all relevance. In fact, if your site is about baking cookies and you accept links from sites about car parts, you're actually hurting the relevance of your site and lowering your page ranking.
Keeping this in mind now, there's a seriously unfortunate habit a lot of article writers have gotten into. There are just so many articles being written and submitted to the article directories, that many aren't paying attention to where their articles are being posted.
Most article directories have category choices that separate the content of their sites into specific groupings. These groupings are seen by the search engines as individual "mother lodes" of content. But this true only if these groupings or categories are actually relevant to one specific topic.
Which is why article directory owners have to work so feverishly to maintain the integrity of their categories.
So if you're submitting articles to them just for sake of submitting, you're not only giving them more work, but you're actually wasting your time and working against the intended purpose of article submitting in the first place.
If your articles get posted into the wrong category, it won't help you because your back link will be in an unrelated place. Plus the value of the category will diminish due to your article about "car parts" being in a category about "baking cookies."
This problem has reached a critical point. Either those submitting articles will have to work at being more accurate in category choices, or the article directories will have get smarter so they can catch irrelevant articles before they ruin things for everyone.
This is where Niche Master Directory comes in. It is a completely keyword driven script that matches category and keywords in the text of an article and automatically accepts or rejects articles based on that criteria.
If an article is submitted to it that doesn't fit the category and keywords, its immediately rejected and an email is sent to the author explaining why.
This one simple feature alone will save article directory owners hours of sifting through irrelevant articles every day and will free them up to do other things, like make a living.
Niche Master Directory also checks for duplication. This way content on a Niche Master Directory site is always clean.
All this is good news for Article Marketers, but it also makes it a great tool for Niche Marketers who want targeted, fresh new content to build their page rank.
According to Hubert Daul, also a co-owner of Double Head Publishing, "The Internet is about content, quick and easy to find information. Niche Master Directory is just the tool people need to keep this content organized and readily available to all."
