GOOD NEWS!!!!
Our New Holland save, "Oreilly" 's History has been found!!!!!! YAY!
We bought this Saddlebred as a direct to slaughter purchase! We could see, even in the broker/ Kill buyer crowd, he was a proud horse... beautiful , but broken... dirty and hungry... He was $600 ... a typical meat price for a full bodied horse... We bought him with little to NO information...After a good month of rehab and weight building, we found him a WONDERFUL home with Barnard family in NH... Mrs. Barnard was BOUND and determined to find out who this beautiful horse was.. and why not? " He deserved to have his papers... its his right" she said... And she’s right!! Well let me tell you … this POOR boy has been through A LOT….
“ Wanted to update you on Oreilly, His registered name is Champagne Shootout and he is 12 years old in may....He has had a tough life!!!!!!!!!! He was bred and raised in TN and was bought and sold too many times , he survived a fire , the barn burned to the ground and they found him in a parking lot behind a supermarket, he went through Tattersall’s 2 times and New Holland 4 times....everyone said he has been with passed him on like a bad penny!!!! What a shame....I will send some new pics soon! Thank you for rescuing my friend! we love him!
