Use this Startup.Htm file if you still can't connect after applying the patch:
IF possible, re-install the game and run the NO CD patch FIRST.
IF you re-install cheat blocker AFTER installing the NLExe patch you may get an error message (Modified files found) and then have to rename a file. The CB update part will create 2 files, an original .dll file (pre patch version) will need to be changed. You will need to delete the Netsock.dll file it creates and then rename the Netsocknw.dll file to Netsock.dll.
*updated note on that error: The Rid-Cheat-Skin Mod (made by Allen "Dr.Evil~Tag" Stewart 2/76-4/07 ) that is in DFFavs/Cheat Blocker Category was made prior to the Nlexe/cb update so it won't fix the "player skins found" error caused by previous installations of the Rambo knife pack. DO NOT install the Rambo Knife pack or any mod that changes the 3rd person weapon view after getting the Cheat Blocker installed and updated or you will get the error message. It is mainly caused by Knife.3di (the 3rd person knife view) being in Df2.pff, and since Doc has since passed away there will be no update to it. It will work for any other player skins that may have been installed so I'm leaving it up for downloading as well as being a tribute to Doc since it was the last thing for DF2 he made that I know of and did it for me without me even asking. If you get the player skins error afterwards you will need the PFF File Extractor and use it to delete the Knife.3di file from DF2.pff. The CB Config update now checks for 3rd person weapon modifications as well as player skins and DF2 memory altering programs.
