Heavy rain in the days leading up to the event caused some major re-routes to the course. However the jumps that the event is famous for remained and as usual did not disappoint.

The event was round one of the 2009 SA Rally Championship and run on the roads of the Fleurieu Peninsula and southern Adelaide Hills.

Photos from the second round of the '09 South Australian MotorRacing Championship are ready for viewing.

A few classes were down in numbers for the May meeting but there was still plenty of close racing, particularly in the Open Wheel categories where some drivers appeared to be on a seek and destroy mission.

A major meeting of the year for the Adelaide Speedboat Club is the Dorwin Gold Cup. Held on the North Arm of the Port River in South Australia, the 2009 event was hampered by wet and blustery conditions.

Even a king tide which flooded the pit area and almost swamped the clubrooms on the previous night didn't dampen the spirits and Sunday morning eventually saw some fierce powerboat competition.

The rain stayed away for the Dawn Service but arrived on cue during the service at the Light Horse Memorial.

A crowd estimated at around 7000 was on hand for the Dawn Service with numbers swelling to an estimated 80,000 for the march.

The event was run over 2 days on the Fleurieu Peninsula about an hour's drive south of Adelaide in South Australia on April 18 and 19, 2009

Images from a day out at the Adelaide Zoo. A highlight of the zoo is the Blue and Gold Macaw free flight demonstration.

The zoo is currently undergoing a major redevelopment in preparation for the arrival of a pair of Giant Pandas in late 2009

 From an estimated 70,000 pics taken during 2008, I've managed to whittle them down to around 300 photos.

This album contains my best and favourite images of 2008 - from fireworks and speedboats to race cars and wrestling and the arrival of the QANTAS A-380 Airbus, there is sure to be something to please the visual senses

Currently there appears to be no on-going issues with viewing files or images on pages or in the photo gallery.

Concentrating mainly on motorsport, Phil has photographed a multitude of events including many V8 Supercar rounds such as the world famous Clipsal 500 and Bathurst 1000 through to Rally Australia, The Indy Carnival on the Gold Coast, The Australian Formula One Grand Prix both in Adelaide and Melbourne, the Rally of South Australia and the Classic Adelaide Rally plus many state and club level race meetings and rallies.

Phil has photographed numerous other sporting events over the last 20 plus years including AFL Football, International Cricket, The Tour Down Under cycle race, Adelaide International Horse Trials and prestigious Bay Sheffield Athletics Carnival.

In 2008, Phil was named as the South Australian Rally Photographer of the Year.

His images are regularly published in both Motorsport News and the online version, Motorsport eNews. Photos are also supplied to the SArally website and several local car clubs for use in their regular magazines and newsletters.

Phil also provides New Zealand sports image agency, nzsportsmedia.com with content from Australia

He has also had images from news and sports events published in many of Australia's daily newspapers including the Adelaide Advertiser, Melbourne's Herald Sun and The Courier Mail in Brisbane.
In addition, several images have featured on the Channel 10 News weather segment, "Extreme Weather".
