The 2008 Australian Motorkhana Championships were held at Monarto in South Australia on the weekend of October 4 & 5.

 Jalopies from days gone by take to the roads of the Adelaide Hills enmasse in the latest version of the biennial run for Vintage and Veteran cars and motorcycles.

The run which starts at West Beach winds it's way to the finish 50 kms away at the Birdwood Mill, home of the National Motor Museum.

The new QANTAS Airbus A-380 made it's first visit to Adelaide. Thousands of plane spotters and the curious packed observation bays and vantage points around the airport to witness the huge aircraft's lightning stop.

Hundreds of school children and office workers lined King William Street to Victoria Square to cheer their Olympic heroes.

The city meets the country when the Show comes to town. More than 600,000 people are expected through the turnstiles over the nine days of the event.

F-F-F-Freezing is the only word that adaquetly describes the weather at Collingrove for Round 3 of the 2008 Winter Cup Hillclimb Series.

The ever changing conditions made life interesting for those who braved the narrow ribbon of tarmac which makes the climb up the hill near Angaston in the Barossa Valley.

Without a doubt, the highlight of the 2008 Adelaide Festival was the ever-changing light display on the buildings of Adelaide's cultural boulevard. So succesful was it, that organisers extended the display by an extra two weeks.

Currently there appears to be no on-going issues with viewing files or images on pages or in the photo gallery.

Concentrating mainly on motorsport, Phil has photographed a multitude of events including many V8 Supercar rounds such as the world famous Clipsal 500 and Bathurst 1000 through to Rally Australia, The Indy Carnival on the Gold Coast, The Australian Formula One Grand Prix both in Adelaide and Melbourne, the Rally of South Australia and the Classic Adelaide Rally plus many state and club level race meetings and rallies.

Phil has photographed numerous other sporting events over the last 20 plus years including AFL Football, International Cricket, The Tour Down Under cycle race and the Adelaide International Horse Trials.

His images are regularly published in both Motorsport News and the online version, Motorsport eNews. Photos are also supplied to the SArally website and several local car clubs for use in their regular magazines and newsletters.

He has also had images from news and sports events published in many of Australia's daily newspapers including the Adelaide Advertiser, Melbourne's Herald Sun and The Courier Mail in Brisbane.
In addition, several images have featured on the Channel 10 News weather segment, "Extreme Weather".
