i know i should of posted b4 about our trip to omaha. ever since we got back, me and mom have been arguing about what i should show. why did i tell mom about this site??!! she wanted me to show real boring fotos of museums and galleries and walks and so forth that she and dad made me and Chester do. I said that the guys in England dont want to know that kind of stuff. They want to hear about xmas. she says show them anyway, so what ive done is post some on another page - not phils - u can check them out here: http://ouromahavisit.blogspot.com Hope this is cool with u phil.
with regards to xmas, the celebrations are well under way in omaha, as they tend to celebrate the festive season earlier than us in Beatrice. Xmas Day is still December 25, but a lot of the turkey and presents had already been given out i think when we got there last week. seems like in the city those guys just cant wait. we r more traditional in beatrice. Our cranberry picking is not until next week, for example. i will go along to the ceremony 4 the 1st time in 10 years just to get a picture or two for you in England!!!
i just got to mom's, as we're taking our trip to Omaha at the wknd. what was she doin phil? only preparing a traditional nebraska cake for xmas!!! i straight away thought of this site. i said to mom that i would foto the dessert and post it on the web and she was like why???? why would u want to do that??? i told her that ppl in england were real interested in our traditions and she said ok. i'm like why can't we go to a store & buy some cake or cookies or something? she is old skool on the cooking and thinks it has to be done the ole fashion way.
xmas still seems a long way away when u see these rich fall colors.
