Rev. Roger R. Ellers, 68, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at his residence.
Roger was born on January 23, 1941 in Harrington, Delaware to the late Roland and Hazel Hopkins Ellers. Roger was a graduate of God's Bible School in Cincinnati where he received his Bachelors Degree in Ministry. Rev. Ellers founded the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Crooksville 38 years ago and was active in the Church until the time of his death. Rev. Ellers dedicated his life to The Lord, his family, and will forever be remembered by his life of Prayer.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Penn Ellers of the home; a son, Kevin (Mary Jo) Ellers of Chicago; four daughters, Kathy Ellers of Independence, MO, Kimberly (Tim) Forsee of Franklin, IN, Kelly (David) Stamper of California, KY, and Heather Ellers of the home; two brothers, Kenneth and Lee Ellers both of Delaware; two sisters, Esther Dorey of Maryland and Shirley Downs of Delaware; 15 grandchildren that were the love of his life, Morgan, Madison, and Mallory Ellers, Luke, Ben, Ethan, Evan, Adam, and Caleb Forsee, Joshua, Katie, Jacob, Kara, and Klarissa Stamper and Patricia "Trishy" Collins.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church, 515 Keystone Street Crooksville. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Paul Case officiating. Burial will follow in Butter Cemetery in Marengo.
