Phantom PrideFarms specializes in Quarter Horses, Paints, Appaloosas, Arabians, and any that result from crosses of previously mentioned breeds, including Araloosas, Pintabians, and Quarabs. We will sometimes have a few different breeds, but our hearts are into these breeds mentioned. We've expanded recently on our Paint stock and hope to encourage others of Riata ( a horse sim ) to join us. We have state of the art facilities to justify our breeding and showing program. We have various stallions to choose from.
During the 2007 show season, we plan to demonstrate just how showing should be done. Our horses will have limited showing, as we don't want to exert them too much. However, they will be shown enough to gather up substantial show records, enough to prove themselves potentially capable of producing outstanding offspring. Remember, the show record doesn't necessarily make the broodmare, and some of our broodmares might not have an extensive show record. Nonetheless, we only breed for quality and you won't see a foal here without reason. We try to sell the foal prior to breeding, rather than after the foal is born. Watch out for our foals in 2007!
We are located in Princeton, North Carolina on 80 acres of horse-oriented land. We have many wonderful facilities that cater toward our goal in establishing ourselves as breeders of quality Quarter Horses and Paint Horses. We have:
- Various pastures, all broken up into 5 acres for mares and geldings. We also have other 1 acre enclosures for our resident stallions, as well as a couple for visiting stallions. We have two 2 acre enclosures for geldings and mares upon their arrival, so as to be isolated from others until their health is completely verified.
- We have five barns, one for our stallions, one for our mares and geldings, another for our younger horses, and then another for our sale barn. :) We use this barn for our mares as well, when we know one is to give birth soon. It gives her a sense of security and has proven very effective. All stalls are 12' x 12' and water and hay is always available to our horses. Our last is for isolation, usually for sick or newly arrived horses.
- 3 Round Pens, located in various places on the property.
- 3 story colonial home
- 4 2 bdrm, 1 1/2 bath cottages.
- 1 6-horse gooseneck trailer w/dressing room.
- Our foals are socialized well with cats, dogs, and people that come and visit us. We have a kennel on property of Border Collies and German Shepherds.
- Entire property is enclosed in fency to prevent escape from horses that have somehow escaped their enclosures. The height of the surrounding fence is 8 ft.
- We have unlimited access to trails both on our property and on the surrounding 700 acres of wooded land.
