a 4-week program designed to supplement the knowledge and clinical skills of licensed occupational therapist in a tertiary hospital setting
General Learning GOALS & OBJECTIVES

provide exposure to various conditions seen in a hospital-based physical dysfunction setting

create a learning atmosphere through observation and experiential/ hands on opportunities applying theory into practice
-
improve competence and clinical reasoning in the conduct of evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, and documentation in both adult and pediatric cases utilizing the function-based approach
-
enrich insight on the role of OT as a member of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team strengthen professional behavior and attitude during performance of clinical and administrative duties

provide exposure to the different PGH-OT specialty clinics and general services

update professional knowledge with current trends of OT practice through staff lectures and special topic reports
