I went to Pet Supplies Plus in Dickson
City, PA a few times, and have noticed that their guinea pigs were sick
each time I checked on them. This is what I found:
First visit- Heavy breathing; crusty eyes; inactivity- Sign of upper respiratory infection.
Bumpy, swollen feet- Sign of unclean tank.
Green, bubbly water.
Laws violated:
Prohibits anyone from wantonly or cruelly depriving an animal of access

Second visit: Guinea pig going bald in their "Not for sale tank"- BIG sign of mange mites.
They might've put a "not for sale" tank to avoid this law:

Same pig with mites there. More pigs in "Not for sale" tank. Probably didn't take to vet.
Guinea pig in other tank excessively scratching. Another sign of mites.

Mange mites can spread to other animals, meaning it is not safe to buy
ANY animals from Pet Supplies Plus in Dickson City, PA. Also, mange
mites can spread to your other pets if you buy one from there. Please tell everyone who lives near the store to let
them know not to buy any animals from that store. It will both the
animals and the people greatly if they do not buy animals from such a
store that only sells animals for profit, like most stores, and doesn't
even follow the laws!
My goal is to get Pet Supplies Plus in Dickson City, PA to at least stop selling animals. Please help by signing it and passing it on. Dickson City government, animal control, etc., will probably have to help.
