-Guinea pigs make wonderful pets and are happiest when with other guinea pigs. Do keep two or more together. Choose those that are of the same sex and compatible.

-Unlike other pets, guinea pigs cannot manufacture their own Vitamin C, hence it must be supplemented.

-Regular grooming is required such as brushing of fur, ear cleaning and nail clipping.

-Their average lifespan is 5 to 7 years.

RABBITS

-Rabbits make excellent house pets as well as ideal pets for children. Each has a unique temperament; some are easily frightened whilst some are very active and curious. It can be a very stressful time getting used to a new environment and owners do not realise the symptoms the rabbit sends out as messages for help.

-Be very gentle and careful when handling. A fall can be fatal!

-Regular grooming is required such as brushing of fur, ear cleaning and nail clipping.

-Rabbits are expected to live at least 5 years and can stretch till 15 years.
