Plant Oil Powered

WVO Basics

Waste vegetable oil, or WVO, can be used in compression ignition engines (diesel), heating equipment, and the production of bio fuels. The use of plant oil to power a internal combustion engine is not a new idea. The inventor of the diesel motor, Rudolph Diesel, had designed his engine to run on peanut oil due to lack of availability of fossil fuels. After WW II, petrol became readily available and low in cost, and the need to run on plant oil was no longer in demand.
