          Our Mission:

Here at Persimmon Tree Hill, I strive to produce excellent show rabbits. Aside from this, I strive to be different than all others. I want to provide a happy, clean enviorment for my glorious Rexes and Flemish Giants. I myself do not think of my rabbits as "stock", but actually as pets. Each one is named and cared for equally (which includes a wide variety of treats and walks!). Our mission is to make our rabbits beautiful and happy for all of their long lives.

          About Me (a history lesson):

My name is Mariah Srygler and I am a Fourteen year old 4-Her. I live in Bloomington, Indiana and I adore all animals from rabbits to cockroaches. I became interested in rabbits at four years old, and then I saw a Flemish Giant at one of the Fairs in South Bend, Indiana. I was set to get a rabbit then and there! I studied hard on the breed, and then for my eleventh birthday, I received an excellent Light Gray doe named Holly. I adored her (and still do) and I only became more interested in rabbits, now looking at the other breeds as well. At my first show with Holly (she took best of breed) I saw a tiny, orange colored bunny. I soon learned that it was a seven week old castor standard rex. My mom gave in easily, and we bought the little bunny for thirty dollars. We named the little doe Hunee Bunee. Hunee swept the shows as a junior, taking nothing but best opposite of breed and best of breed, and she accumulated three legs in a month at the age of four months. This caused us to buy my next rabbit, Orlandoe. (We did buy a Flemish Giant buck, but a tragic accident occured and we lost my dear Jakey... Rest in Peace sweetheart!) My two castors were soon bred, resulting in a beautiful litter of eight - six castors, two blacks, four boys, and four girls! One of the blacks was a girl and the other a boy, so the little was a perfect split. Two days after the birth, we purchased Purdy Tuff Cookie, aka Cookie at a show. We were confused for a bit on her color, but we learned that she was indeed a broken opal. She was H-U-G-E, and I'm sure you breeders are excited. Most rexes are too small. Cookie was an excellent edition to the rabbitry. Hunee's litter was beautiful and becoming some of the best rabbits anyone had seen in a while. At the fair, all of my rabbits won their breeds, and some kits were sold for as high as $60 dollars due to their excellent quality. We kept an excellent rabbit - a doe. Her name is are Crickette Got Milk (A kindhearted black doe).
