I am an American performing artist with over 35 years experience in the USA and Europe as a singer, flautist, actress, director and teacher. I have had the priviledge of working and/or studying with such renowned artists as the amazing jazz vocalist/symphony conductor Bobby McFerrin, jazz singers Jon Hendriks and Marc Murphy, vocal coach of the Manhattan Transfer, Roland Wyatt, flautists Paul Horn, James Gallway, Adele Zeitlin, great jazz instrumentalists Howard Roberts, Barny MacClure, Chuck Sher, twin brother- trombonist/singer, Marc Smason and Joanne Klein, my wonderful family of musicians (Leo, Daavia, and Shena van Spronsen) and many more.
Since moving to the Netherlands in 1999, I have been teaching voice/ flute technique, musical theater, and pop singing classes in the Dutch music schools and am now opening the Abby van Spronsen Performing Arts Studio in East Holland.
