Description and Uses

 This plant may have been introduced to Britain by the Romans and may often be found growing wild along roadsides and on wateland.

The leaves of Good King Henry can be cooked like spinach or used raw in salads, while the young, emerging shoots, if picked as the flower buds are starting to show, may be boiled or steamed and served with butter.
