About Per Piacere Chamber Orchestra
Per Piacere Chamber Orchestra is a group of non-professional musicians specialising in performing music from the Baroque and Classical musical periods. Founded in early 2007, the group started with just string players, and has rapidly grown to include appropriate wind and brass instruments. Rehearsing once a week, the orchestra has built a repertoire based on the middle period symphonies of Haydn and Mozart together with works by Bach, Vivaldi and others. During 2008 the orchestra will expand to include the full range of woodwind and brass instruments enabling the performance of the late symphonies of Haydn and Mozart and also early Beethoven.
