Cambridge Yoga Classes

Hello, my name is Pen and I run yoga classes from my peaceful studio in Stow-Cum-Quy, Cambridge. I have trained in Sivananda Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, Restorative and Ante-natal Yoga and my aim is to bring the benefits of these amazing teachings to you.

People of all levels of fitness and ability are welcome to my classes. Beginners are made to feel part of the group and are given careful instruction to help them build their practice from a strong foundation. More advanced students have their practice fine tuned and are encouraged to hold postures for longer, exploring the many variations available. All students work towards learning a system that they can tap into at any time, such as doing some relaxing breathing exercises before an exam, loosening the neck and back muscles at work or lifting their mood and energy levels at home.

Yoga is about releasing stress from the body and mind through a continuous process of work then relaxation. It is up to the individual to make their practice as dynamic as they wish, going at their own pace and holding postures for as long as they feel comfortable, then relaxing.

Strengthen, Tone and Unwind. As you develop your practice you will start to feel and notice the benefits. Students report feeling calmer, more energised, more able to focus. Posture and balance improve, aches and pains diminish, even the processes of digestion and circulation get better. The body becomes more flexible, stronger, leaner and toned. The mind becomes more peaceful, the emotions  more balanced.

Students with the following conditions have all witnessed improvements from attending classes: back pain, arthritis, panic attacks, obesity, high blood pressure and depression.

One-to-one tuition is also available in your home or workplace. Whether you feel shy about joining a public class, or you wish to have a routine developed to suit your body and goals, or if you just don't have time to travel, a one-to-one session could be the right option for you.
