Why did Jesus came to earth?

Matthew 9:13
"Jesus desire mercy and not sacrifice. For He did not come to call the righteous but sinners
to repentance."

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
"For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures."

1, Admit you are a sinner
Romans 3:10,23
"There is none righteous, no not one; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

2, Be willing to turn from sin
Acts 17:30
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked but now commands all men everywhere to repent"

3, Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead
Romans 10:9-10
"if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

4, Believe you cannot work your way to heaven
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"
(work earn wages, you have a contract.  you can't work for a free gift)
Ephesians 2:8-10
"For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (not a result of work, work comes after salvation)
Romans 11:6
"And if by grace, then it is no longer of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.  But if it is of works, it is no longer grace, otherwise work is no longer works"

5, Through prayer invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Lord and Saviour
Romans 10:13
"For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved"

What to pray
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness.  I believe Jesus Christ shed His precious Blood and died for my sin.  I am willing to turn from sin.  I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Lord and Saviour. Amen
