While I'm not an award winning author, or even a published writer, I believe that I have some helpful advice to budding writers...particularly teenage ones or younger. The stuff you find here should not only help you with your fiction writing, but also with school essays, and writing articles. (Sorry, no poetry kiddies. I suck at that stuff.)

If you would like to talk to me in detail about writing, please feel free to contact me! I can't promise I can help you, but I'll try! (Plus I'm such a writing geek I would probably die of happiness if you asked me for advise.

These workshops are written by me. That means that this advice isn't one hundred percent professional even though I try to do my best. The following articles are more like 'helpful hints'. I wrote them to try and help you to get thinking about ways to improve your writing! The first three are three basic workshops that ever writer should read, and after that they are alphabetized.

Workshop One

This little workshop is a one page paper aimed at teen writers. I talk about ways to improve your writing, as well as some advice that is actually pretty solid. I used my life expierences as a template for this article, so I do know that this stuff works to some degree!

Workshop Two

This is a sweet and simple workshop that concentrates on ways to get to know your main characters. I provide a basic character sketch and give you several other ideas to learn more about your characters.

Workshop Three

This workshop is a short little piece about POV and how it needs to be carefully selected. I talk about First Person, Third Person, Omniscient and give examples of each.

Advice Against Adjectives

A workshop in which I speak of my biggest weakness, adjectives and overusing them.

Aricles Vs Essays

My first workshop dealing with nonfiction writing! In this piece I show you the differences between essays and articles!

The Format of a Story

Here I discuss the various ways of formatting your writing, and a few dialog details that are generally unknown.

Obtaining Voice - New!

So you know how to nail POV, what about voice and the style in which you write?

Opus 1

A short piece that explores a major mistake made by writers around the world.

Over using Words

Do you find it annoying when writers use the same words OVER and OVER and OVER? Read this workshop to discover how you can keep yourself from doing it!.

Plot Construction

A workshop in which we examine the plot, and ways you can improve it, and a few helpful tips on ways to think up plots.

Show and Tell

In this workshop we take a closer look at the general rule of thumb "Show Not Tell"

Writing with Humor

In which I attempt to teach you exactly how I make my stories slightly humorous.

I hope I was able to help you! Thanks for reading!
