What if it was all Real?
What if it, Kingdom Quest, was all real? Then I was be sued for revealing such a great secret, or I would be hailed a global
hero, have my own cult, and be quite possibly crowned the first Empress of the Internet.
Joking, just joking! Okay, a little more seriously here. Kingdom Quest, Saint Cloud Library, Magic, is it all real? The short answer…no.
This is fiction, fiction I repeat. Kingdom Quest doesn’t exist, librarians cannot do magic,
and no that evil looking teacher of yours is not a member of the Façade Squad
Then Why?
I wrote The Page Turner in mind that nobility, courage, faith, and hope are things that
are swiftly fading from our culture. Magic is one way of bringing all of those things around.
Everything in The Page Turner is fantasy, pure and simple. It never happened and probably never will.
But…Is it untrue? Nope. Yep, you saw that right, nope. Although Kingdom Quest and Saint Cloud aren’t
real, or have physical forms, that doesn’t mean they are untrue. The battle that Raven and the
Library Boys fight, the fights between light and darkness, are very real. It is rather frightening
actually, a war is going on in our world, one that most people are unaware of.
You might claim that you cannot be a hero like Raven because she lives in a world filled with magic and
villains. I ask you, does it take magic to make a hero? Must you have a dark villain to live an extraordinary
life? I am anything but normal, and although I would not label myself a hero I’m certainly not average.
Still, I have no magic besides the ability to spin words and letters and string them into a story, but here I am,
living out of the ordinary. See my point?
Magic, or even magic related jobs are unnecessary if you do what you’re meant to do.
Obviously I was meant to be a writer. Or a clown. I wonder if it's too late for me to join the circus?
Are you a Hero?
Are you a hero? Think about the passion of your heart, the thing you love to do! Now pursue it.
Then you'll be a hero in your own right. You'll undoubtedly go through a lot of pain, misery, and anger. But I do
promise that the end will be happy if you are going after what you're made for. How else can we live?
