About us
Pear Tree Road Baptist Church is in membership with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the East Midland Baptist Association. We are a black majority church with a membership of 85 and an average morning congregation of about the same size.
Our present church building was completed in 1903 but has been substantially upgraded and modernised over the last twelve years.
We are situated in part of the most diverse and multicultural part of Derby and operate with a basic conviction that we need to be immersed in the community we are called to serve.
Our Church thrives on the conviction that God is alive, has spoken His Word, and can be known through Jesus Christ. His great purpose is to build His Church of which we rejoice to be a part.
