February 3rd 2007 - As reported in the new Tour Rumours section of Tour Dates, Nickelback has been offered to play live at the Pan AM Centre, Las Cruces, New Mexico, NM, USA in July 2007, and Nickelback's organisers have responded in a positive manour! Could this be a key sign to say that Nickelback may be extending their February/March 2007 Tour into Summer? Or is it a sign to say that Nickelback will record their sequel to All The Right Reasons before this time? Or is this just a one-off concert to make up for the cancelled show in Tingley Coliseum, Albuquerque, New Mexico, NM, USA on August 22nd 2006? I'm sure we'll find out sooner, rather than later!
January 26th 2007 - Nickelback are scheduled to be on CTV's E-Talk tonight at 7:30PM! There will be a preview of Nickelback's newest music video If Everyone Cared!
January 25th 2007 - The word from RRR is that the All The Right Reasons CD/DVD Special Edition will not be released in the UK, and to add to this, the If Everyone Cared single will only be released if the song has regular radio play! Thanks RRR, you are doing a brilliant job of promoting how to lose a band's fans within a month!
January 23rd 2007 - Just a quick update on the petition for the Demand For An Equal Treatment Of International Members And U.S. Members In The Official Nickelback Fan Club as it has now reached the milestone of 250 signatures in just over 20 days!
January 15th 2007 - Just a quick update on the petition for the Demand For An Equal Treatment Of International Members And U.S. Members In The Official Nickelback Fan Club as it has now reached 227 signatures in just over 12 days, and if this momentum continues we could see this hit 500 signatures by the end of January, because this petition is looking very successful!
January 13th 2007 - Just incase you didn't know already, Warner Music Group announced on December 18th 2006 that they have bought out a majority share of RoadRunnerRecords! This means that Warner Music Group now owns 73.5% of RoadRunnerRecords! Hopefully this will mean better promotion for Nickelback particularly in the UK, in which their popularity seems to have sunk to the extent of having to be a support band for Bon Jovi in June 2006, due to RoadRunnerRecords' lack of promotion and touring in the UK!
January 12th 2007 - Chart Magazine's 2006 Readers' Poll has been closed and the results have been released! Nickelback were nominated for four awards, including: #3: The Blissful Noise Award (Best Song) for Savin' Me; #4: The Throw Your Underwear Award Male (Sexiest Canadian Man) for Chad Kroeger; #6: The Lord Mullet Of Stanley Award (Best Haircut) for Chad Kroeger; and #8: The Thank You Much-ly Award (Best Video) for Savin' Me! The results for Nickelback's nominations are as follows: Nickelback had the fifth best song with Savin' Me with 1.87% of the votes; Chad Kroeger was fifth sexiest Canadian man with 1.85% of the votes; Chad Kroeger had the seventh best haircut with 2.57% of the votes; and second best music video for Savin' Me with 10.03% of the votes! Also, for those of you Nickelback fans that are also fans of Theory Of A Deadman, Tyler Connolly was nominated for Sexiest Canadian Man Award finishing third with 5.78% of the votes, although Theory Of A Deadman surprisingly had no nominations as a band!
January 11th 2007 - Chad Kroeger is still at work within music, despite Nickelback apparently being on a break until February 20th 2007! Chad Kroeger is currently with Default helping to produce their fourth album with an expected release date of 2007! It is unclear if Chad Kroeger will collaborate, but he certainly will be producing Default's fourth album! Chad Kroeger produced Default's previous three albums: The Fallout (2001); Elocation (2003); and One Thing Remains (2005)! Chad Kroeger was also in the fighting scene of the music video of one of Default's best known songs Wasting My Time from The Fallout album!
January 10th 2007 - It has very recently been announced that Nickelback have won the Best Group Award at The 33rd Annual People's Choice Awards! The People's Choice Awards winners are picked by the public via online voting, so congratulations to all of the fans (including myself) that voted for Nickelback enough times to win the category! You can see a full listing of the categories and winners here!
January 9th 2007 - There are two Nickelback releases scheduled for February 2007, but unfortunately in typical RoadRunnerRecords fashion, there has still been no official track listings released for either, despite being less than one month away from the release of All The Right Reasons CD/DVD Special Edition! All The Right Reasons CD/DVD Special Edition is scheduled for release on February 6th 2007, while a DVD release Midnight Riders, is scheduled for release on February 20th 2007! It has been suggested by a member of The Official Nickelback Forum (ChadKroeger111574) that the name Midnight Riders would make perfect sence to be the name of the 2007 Official Live DVD, as the main concert was shot at The 66th Rock 'N' The Rally Festival in Sturgis, South Dakota, SD, USA on August 8th 2006! But, still no-one expects Midnight Riders to be the 2007 Official Live DVD, and if it was, then the question would have to be asked of RoadRunnerRecords of the extreme lack of promotion less than a month and a half before it's release date! However, I would urge you NOT to buy either of these releases until you have read official track listings and checked reviews!
January 5th 2007 - Do you feel as though The Official Nickelback Fan Club still has it's problems despite a re-design and additions earlier on in the year? Do you feel that US residents only competitions; US residents only Fan Club activities; US residents having cheaper costs; and feeling in general that The Official Nickelback Fan Club is aimed at US residents only? Do you feel this entirely breaches equality?
Fear no longer! One of the main moderators of The Official Nickelback Forum - Lara has started her own petition with the help of more Official Nickelback Forum members including: Little Friend; Darling; Nad; and IrishJenny! The petition can be signed by anyone across the world and it doesn't matter if you are joined to The Official Nickelback Fan Club or not! You can view the topic on The Official Nickelback Forum about the petition here and the petition here!
As I type this the petition has already reached 103 signatures within 2 days! I have also signed the petition myself with my signature being the 62nd signature! After all, "Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world! Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead! Does that ring any bells?
