Hello, Bonjour, Bienvenidio, Fellow Kappans,

As the President- Elect for the years 2008-2010 I am looking forward to your participation and input regarding educational issues.

I became a member of Chicago State University’s Chapter in 2000.  I have worked in the capacity of the following roles to ensure my mission as an educator Local School Council Teacher Representative, Phi Delta Kappa International-Chicago State University Chapter as Recording Secretary, Historian, Newspaper Editor, and 1st Vice President-Membership Chairperson. I was honored as Educator of the Year -2007 in the area of Elementary Education.

I've had the challenge and privilege of serving in the Chicago Public Schools for 22 years. I am a very proud product of the Chicago Public Schools System. I received my Bachelor of Education from National Louis University, and my Master’s in Education from Loyola University-Chicago, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from Northeastern Illinois University.

I am currently an elementary teacher at Frazier International School. Frazier International is a K-8 school

the CPS Office of Academic Enhancement, which currently operates two International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) magnet schools.

My goals for CSU/PDK are:

·          To coordinate with other professional associations, and Chicago PDK Chapters.

·          Contact Presidents regarding potential speakers and annual joint meeting.

·          Administer meaningful surveys to receive valuable input, from our dedicated members  regarding Chapter plans for coming year and develop and distribute survey forms

·          Integrate survey results into planning activities and use events to build lasting chapter capacity and leadership.

·          Increase public relations via Internet, newsletters, posters and news/media.

The Chicago State University Executive Board Members want to share and exchange information and ideas with you. Fellow Kappans we cannot be successful without you.

Educationally yours,

Linda Webster
