Summer 2005
Take a look at our *new* home in Gloucester, MA... we're so blessed that Patrick's grandfather has put it into a trust for Patrick and his brother Marco!!! We've been doing tons of work on it this summer because it hasn't been lived in for awhile. The boys put a new roof on over Labor Day and it's all cleaned up inside now! Enjoy the pics... hopefully they will inspire more of you to come visit us!
We took a trip to MN with our friend Mardi to go canoing in the Boundary Waters with Bryan and Chanda... it was so amazing! Especially when our high-tech UV water purifier didn't work AND our regular stove didn't work AND our backup stove didn't work AND there was a fire ban so we couldn't boil water AND poor Chanda was throwing up. It was the best. Where's a water engineer when you need one?? But that was just the first day... the rest of the trip was full of loon calls, pine trees, beautiful lakes, and agonizing kayak portages. And a terrific weekend at the cabin... ask us about our near-death experience tubing behind the new boat. Pictures will be up as soon as I get them from my brother...

Lebanon 2004
We spent the summer in Beirut, Lebanon while Patrick was working on research for his Master's thesis (an optimization model for Lebanon's water which can hopefully be applied to other semi-arid regions). Some photos are included here. We had a great time, and met tons of cool people. What an amazing place!
