Payton Boer Goats

  Payton Boer Goats is a small 15 acre farm located in Calera, Alabama. We are about 30 minutes south of Birmingham and 1 hour north of Montgomery. We started with nine percentage does and a percentage buck. We now have twenty percentage does, two full blood bucks, and fifteen kids. As we purchased higher quality bucks that have Magnum and other Ryals bloodlines in them, our kids have been faster growing and more appealing to the eye. Our market is mostly off the farm sales to other small breeders and ethnic customers. Our latest addition to our herd was a real nice buck and a registered doe that we purchased from Brian Lawley at Lawley Hill Boer Goats.

 The day to day chores of goat ranching are carried out by my grandfather Joel Payton and my father Daryl Payton. When raising goats it seems there is always something to be done. Our goal is to continue to improve our herd and have the best percentage does to sale to other breeders that need replacement does for their percentage operation.
