We Will Remember You!!
We Will Remember You!!

On April 22, 2007, Patty Taylor lost her battle with cancer. She was an incredibly special woman with a deep sense of integrity and courage. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to countless numbers. Her heart was pure gold and she was always the first in line to lend a helping hand. Let us celebrate her life by remembering the joyous times, the times we laughed and the times we cried.

The stories of Patty's life are many, as she worked so hard at so many different things. Patty was the founder of the Nebraska Animal Rescue Organization. It was designed to help many needy animals in the State of Nebraska in need of a new home or a safety net to get them out of a dangerous situation. Through her hard work, she developed a huge network of fellow animal rescuers across the nation to aid in transporting animals into safety and finding a room in a rescue for a shelter dog or cat. The work was thankless, grueling, and yet she managed to do it with a wonderful upbeat, friendly attitude. It is no wonder she was respected and loved by so many humans and animals alike.

Patty was also heavily involved in the Golden Retriever Rescue In Nebraska, also known as GRRIN, for many years. She saved and rehomed countless Golden Retrievers over the years, but her heart was open to any animal in need. She held high standards for the care of animals in rescue and had a reputation of zero tolerance of those that did not have similar standards. The animals care was number one.
Patty was devoted to her family and spoke of them lovingly and often. We all felt as if we knew them personally. She would always talk of the times when Shelly would come to visit with such excitement. And her stories of her husband's caring help with a Golden Retriever that was scared or having problems, were many. We will all miss her loyal friendship and love, but we celebrate that her painful battle is over. Patty is now running pain free with the animals and loved ones that have passed before her.
Patty will be greatly missed by all of us. Perhaps through this website we can talk about our memories, tell our stories, or simply spend time in thoughtful prayer while looking through the wonderful pictures of Patty and her life.

Patty was an avid supporter of spaying and neutering as a way to help control the over population problems of companion animals. Every day thousands of animals are euthanized in our country simply because they are unwanted. To carry on Patty's work, a memorial has been established in her name at the Nebraska Animal Rescue Organization, also known as NAR. NAR was her creation and her loving friends are dedicated to keeping her dream alive. Anyone wishing to donate in her name to help needy animals may do so through the secure Paypal button below.
