Meet Jude and Jules, from Dallas, TX, the Panic! Mafia Members of the Month for November!

As told by Jude
[thinking he was telling the story to Tess and Jenn]:

Okay, I made two shirts, one that said “Paddle! at the Disco” and one that said, “Panic! at the Jump rope”. We (Jules and I) got there early and started at the front of the line handing out fliers. We basically told people who didn’t know about them about them [Panic! at the Disco] and those who had heard of them to go check them out (the majority was there for Edgefest, Audioslave was the headliner...). We told people that we were going to have a contest for some free “custom” shirts. People live for free stuff at shows so we had quite a few interested parties.

We walked around talking some more, then about 30 min. before gates I picked two people and Jules picked two people to rep us in the paddle and jump rope “pro-am comp.” as we started calling it. It was sweet, the kids were stoked. We gave out the shirts and took some pictures, then went inside.

I made a sign that said “free high-fives brought to you by Panic! at the Disco.” And I high-fived everyone who came up and Jules gave them a flier and told them when they were playing. We ran into Brendan and introduced ourselves, he was stoked and said he was glad that “at least two people” were there to see them. He gave Jules a cookie, it was awesome.

We walked around handing out more fliers and talking to mare people and 280 fliers, and at least 200 high-fives later, it was show time. There were easily 200-250 kids there, and the sweetest part was that about ¾ of them were kids who hadn’t heard of them that Jules and I talked to. They rocked so hard that they broke the barrier and Brendon giggled and was stoked about it onstage. ((“You guys broke the fucking barrier, wow, um…do we start the song over? (Off stage, to Pete) do we start over?”)) They did, then the radio people told them they couldn’t play the last song, Brendon told the guys to start it anyway, they did, it was sweet.

After the show we talked to Brendan and Ryan and they thanked us and said it was way more awesome than they had ever expected.

The end.

You guys are amazing! Keep up the good work! We love you!
