We have a lot of news!

PATADO has not been around for a while - this is because for the past year the majority of our staff have been busy in their second year of a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre), spending the year performing in various shows at Amersham & Wycombe College, and auditioning for drama colleges and universities. Many of our staff have been lucky enough to have been offered places at various colleges and universities around the country:

  • Ziggie Sky Ward & Laura Mortemore - Musical Theatre Academy, London - Accelerated Professional Musical Theatre.
  • Chloe-Laurel Gratter - Buckinghamshire New University, High Wycombe - BA (Hons) Musical Theatre.
  • Liam Nutkins - University of Cumbria - BA (Joint Hons) Musical Theatre and Dance.
  • Daisy Foster - Redroofs Associates - Two Year Screen Acting School.
  • Rosie Blackaby - University of Chichester - Foundation Degree in Musical Theatre.
  • Charlotte Jeffery - Middlesex University - BA (Hons) Dance Performance.

We wish them, and our other staff members, the best of luck for the future.

Unfortunately, due to the intensive training of these courses, our main staff will not be able to commit to the company, and so PATADO will be on hold for the next two years, unless we can find a temporary team. We apologize, but can assure you we WILL be back! Better than ever before!
However, before we go, four young PATADO members - including two of our staff - will be performing the finale number from the musical Hairspray, "You Can't Stop the Beat" at Penn Street Village Beer Festival, on Saturday 20th June 2009, at 4.30pm. The members taking part are: Chloe Wingrove, Dominic Henry, Charlotte Backhouse (Voice) and Chloe-Laurel Gratter (Acting). The piece has been choreographed and taught by our Managing Director Ziggie Sky Ward.
As you can see from above, Ziggie has been offered a place at the Musical Theatre Academy. Unfortunately, drama training is expensive, and the full course fees total to £24,000. Ziggie is looking for sponsors, donors, and anyone who can help support her in any way - financially or not. For more information, or to help Ziggie, email patadotheatre@hotmail.com. Many Thanks.

We hope to see you at BeerFest, and keep a look out for us in the future!

All at the PATADO Team. xxxx
