                II Timothy 2:15

How Do I Know I Have The Spirit of God In Me ?

Answer:

This question is of special importance to Christians, because "if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His" (Romans 8:9). Jesus Christ promised that true Christians would receive God’s Spirit, which would help them overcome sin and would lead them into all truth: "I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper... It abides with you, and will be in you.... [and] shall teach you all things, and remind you of all things which I said to you" (John 14:16–17, 26, Wilson’s New Emphatic Version).
To properly answer the question, we should first look at how we receive the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Peter’s explanation was simple, direct and profound: "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38). To repent means to "turn around" from the way of selfishness and self-will, and to go the other way—God’s way. Repentance is a heartfelt change from rebellion against the Lord’s instruction to unconditional surrender to God.
A truly repentant person will desire to live by "every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). Scripture enjoins that one who has repented must then be baptized. This important requirement reflects the repentant person’s inward faith in Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection, and submission to the true Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Romans 6).
This raises an important related point: can an infant make the deliberate and rational choice, and change of heart, that precedes baptism? Obviously not! Just as an adult’s baptism is not valid unless he or she has come to genuine repentance, an infant child is certainly not capable of mustering the faith and repentance that Scripture requires.
After baptism, one receives God’s Spirit through the laying on of hands (Acts 8:17). God’s Spirit allows the Christian to "walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4). But what does that mean? The Apostle Paul explains that "the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us" (Romans 5:5, ASV).
Indeed, this supernatural, divine love is described as the fruit of the Spirit, which is abundant in the life of true Christians (Galatians 5:22–23). The Apostle John explains how this love is manifested: "This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments
" (1 John 5:3). Indeed, it is through God’s Spirit within that a Christian grows ever more able to keep God’s commandments.
As John wrote: "Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.... Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him" (1 John 2:3–5). Even more directly, it says: "All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us" (3:24, NRSV).
The commandments express love toward God and love toward neighbor (Matthew 22:37–40). Jesus said: "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another (John 13:35). John expands on this: "We know that we have passed from death to life [through receiving God’s Spirit], because we love the brethren" (1 John 3:14). Such love is demonstrated not by mere well-wishing, but by actual deeds (vv. 18–19).
This love deepens as one grows more and more like Jesus Christ, through the indwelling of God’s Spirit, as the very nature of the Godhead is formed within us (Philippians 2:5; Galatians 4:19)!
This is how we know that God’s Spirit is working within us, preparing us for eternal life in the Kingdom of God!

                       What Is A Spirit ?

What Is A Spirit Composed of ?

We will start with the definition of Spirit in the Strong's Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries.......

So, it says a Spirit is a current of air, that is, breath (blast) or a breeze. We are not looking for an analogy or figurative definiton. We are looking for what is a spirit composed of ! It also defintions Spirit as ( superhuman) an angel, daemon, or (devine) God, Christ spirit, the Holy spirit: ghost, life, spirit(-ual,-ually), mind.

God is " The Holy Ghost (or Spirit).......

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

That still dont give us the answer were looking for !

Christ is from or (Begotten) from the Spirit of God (Superhuman / in the Flesh)

1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

That still dont give us any answer ! So, that leads up to the conclusion. That the Spirit of God in the beginning Genesis 1:2 was invisible to the human eye. And then after Matthew 1:23 God manifested in human flesh and was with us, by what scripture says. So, now we can see the Spirit of God in the Flesh through Christ Jesus, right. Then they crucified Jesus. The Spirit of God left that flesh.

Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. It sounds like the breath of Life that God breathed into Adam

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. That same Breath of Life Jesus recieved after being born of the womb of the woman. Without that same Breath of Life we would all perish without (Oxygen). But, God is not Oxygen !  God is the Creator of all things.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Jesus tells us that a Spirit does not have a body like Ours of Mortal Flesh.

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Can we know when or where the Spirit of God is ?

John 3:6~8 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Nicodemus was a master of Israel, very intelligent man. And even with all his knowledge he could not understand what Jesus is telling him. Jesus give us the answer. Why many, dont understand the Word of God through scriptures.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. The flesh is of this world and the things in it.

1John 2:15~17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Being in the Spirit of God is more than just saying, you have been Born Again ! What ? Jesus told Nicodemus

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

But, there is a difference between being Born Again and walking in the Spirit of God. Being Born Again from God above is a Supernatural Rebirth of Your Flesh. Jesus is Born Again by God above He is the Frist fruits of God. He has died in the flesh and been resurrected by God.

1Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. We are still in a Natural Body

1Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. Frist man being Terrestrial (Flesh) and the Born Again Resurrected Body of the Celestial from God above.

1Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. For only God alone can take off this corruptible and put on incorruptible. And take off this Mortal Body and put on the Immortal Body

1Corinthians 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. We are still in the Flesh and Saved by Grace through Faith

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Jesus Being the Propitiation for our sin.

There are many, Christians that say they are Born Again in the Flesh from God above. This would mean they are perfect. Not Corruptible and already Immortal. These teaching's come from man made doctrines.Which come out of (Cults) which the Encyclopedia defines as Organized Religion. The Denominational and Non-Denominational or the mainstream sects give the Believers a False-Sense-of-Security. And turning a Gift of God into a Act they have to Perform for Salvation.

How Can You Know If You Are Walking In The Spirit of God ?

There are professing Christian's, Just Believe, Free Will Christians, and then those that Spiritualize everything they do ! We have scripture that tells us ! Lets look at some scripture ? That proves how we know He dwells in us. If we walk in the Spirit and He dwells in us.

John 14:20~21 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of  God.

1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1John 2:17~29 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

If it is in the Will of God it is the (Spirit of God). As long as you speak the Word of God (it is of the Spirit). You can be in the Spirit of God and then back in the Flesh in the world. In as fast as speaking one word wrong.                                                                                                  Example: Matthew 16:13~28

Matthew 16:13-28 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am ? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am ? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul ? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Jesus tells Peter Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Peter is spirit filled with revelation of who Jesus is ! And then just a few minutes or hours later. Scripture doesn't tell us how long. Jesus started to tell them what was about to happen.

Matthew 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Then Peter rebukes are corrects Jesus ! Why ?

Matthew 16:23-24 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Wow ! One minute Jesus is telling Peter he is of the spirit of God. And then few minutes later Jesus is calling him satan ....... The same is with ourselves. One minute we can be all Holy and Righteous. And the next minute, DOING not the things of God. The Spirit of God is seeked after daily, that is denying ourselves. Through prayer and trying to live a Godly and Holy Life. We will find ourselves in a battle every day.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Matthew 26:40-41 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour ? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

May the LORD Bless you in a way. That you know, that it could have only, came from Him.......Amein
