WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE

I believe the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God and His message is the salvation of man from cover to cover.  I believe the Bible is relevant, and always will be, and it is our only rule for faith and practice.  (John 1:1, Hebrews 4:12, IITimothy 3:16)

"GOD THE FATHER"

I believe there is one, and only one, living and true God who created the heavens, the earth and everything in them; He set all things into motion and will bring all things to a glorious end to fulfill His purpose in Jesus Christ as the redeemer of man.  I also believe that God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent: that God is absolutely perfect, inexpressibly holy and glorious and worthy of all respect, honor, glory, and praise.  God is manifest in three (3) unique persons simultaneously since the beginning, equal in divine perfection and executing distinct and harmonious offices in the work of redemption (John 4:24. Genesis 1:1, Jeremiah 32:17-20, Psalm 139:7-12, Matthew 28:19)

"GOD THE SON-"JESUS CHRIST"

I believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in physical human form and he lived a perfect and sinless life on earth and thus, the only perfect sin offering acceptable to God on behalf of sinful man for the purpose of reconciliation.  Jesus Christ was active in creation and was born of the Virgin Mary as conceived by the Holy Spirit.  He was crucified unto death and sealed in a tomb and ascended into Heaven.  I believe Jesus is at the right hand of God interceding for man, and will soon return. John 1:1-3, Matthew 1:18-25, II Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews (:14,27, John 1:29)

"GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT"

I believe that the Holy Spirit is God manifest in Spirit and in this office He is our counselor, guide, empowerer, teacher, and that He convict all men of sin and judgement and encourages righteousness to all believers.  The Holy Spirit calls individuals to repentance and salvation; He seals and sends believers, and He was active in creation, and will be active in the revelation of Jesus Christ  (John 14:16,17, Genesis 1:2, matthew 28:19, luke 24:49, Ephesians 1:13, Romans 8:14-16,25, IIThessalonians 2:13, Acts 13:2-4, Revelation 2:7, 14:12,13)

SALVATION

I believe man was created in the innocence of God, but by voluntary transgression fell from the sinless and happy state, and by consequence all men are sinners by choice, utterly void of any holiness by nature, positively inclined to evil under just condemnation to eternal ruin without defense or execuse.  (Genesis 1:27, 3:6-24, Ezekiel 18:19,20, Jeremiah 17:9, Isaiah 53:6, 64:6, Romans 1:20, 5:12,29.20)

I believe that God loves all people regardless of nationality, creed or color and desires that none should perish and thus has provided eternal salvation through the perfect redemptive, substitionary atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ, who bore all the sins of the world in His own body.  The conditions of salvation are repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ by God's grace alone, apart from any effort of our own, and it is given freely to all who will recieve it.  We cannot obtain salvation apart from the convicting and renewing work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.  (Romans 5:9, Romans 10:17, IPeter 2:24, IJohn 2:2, Acts 10:21, Ephesians 2>8-9, John 3:5, 6:37,44)

I believe the RAPTURE will happen very soon and the TRIBULATION will last 7 years.

I believe Jesus Christ will return the same way he left (Acts 1:9-12)

LORD'S SUPPER AND BAPTISM

I believe the Christian ordinances are rites appointed by Christ to be administered in each church,  I believe in immersion and that it is to be administered by the pastor or an offical of the church.  Special permission would allow a parent to have the priviledge of baptizing a child after proof of salvation.  The Lord's Supper is an ordinance instituted for observance by His followers until He returns.  It consists in partaking of the consecrated emblems of bread and wine, and symbolizes the death and suffering of Christ for the remissions of our sins and our continual dependence upon Him for our sustenance.  I also believe that the Lord's table should be open to all that are in a right relationship with God, regardless of denomination.

I believe in the oneness of the church of Christ, composed of all Spirit-regenerated believers, and that these believers both living and dead, shall be caught up together at His second coming.
